本报北京5月21日专电据教育部统计，世界各国来华的留学生创历史新高。去年共有来自178个国家的110844名各类来华留学人员，在我国31个省、市、自治区(不含台湾省和港、澳特别行政区)的420所高等学校和其它教学、科研机构学习。其中中国政府奖学金来华留学生6715人，自费生104129人。 来华留学生的数量与2003年相比，增加了42.63%。创造了新中国成立以来四个第一,来华留学生数量最多的一年；来华留学生绝对数量增加最多的一年，共增加33129人；来华留学生的生源国家数量最多的一年；来华留学生就读学校数量最多的一年。(驻京记者：李文祺) |
