Distributors
• Name (Textbox) • Country (Drop down menu) • City (Drop down menu) • Number of employees (textbox) • Capacity / day (Textbox – non-edible) • Storage space (textbox) • Quality (slidebar 1-100) • Reputation (slidebar 1-100) • Owner (Drop down menu of record labels) • Finances (textbox) • % of each record sold (textbox – “Calculate” button)
Only cities that are in the chosen country will be shown on the list. Finances tell how much cash the studio has. Owner is relevant if the distributor is owned by a record label. % of each record sold is calculated upon the quality and reputation of the distributor. Somehow the amount of money the distributor charge for each song must be in relation to the country’s economy. I mean a high profile distributor in China can’t charge as much as one in USA. The number of employees determines how many records the distributor can handle each day which is shown in the Capacity box. Storage space refers to how many records the distributor can hold at a time. If you manufacture 1.000.000 records, then the distributor will get all of them and then send them out to the record stores. If they only have storage space for 500.000 records, then you must find another distributor or keep the remaining records yourself… I’m a bit unsure how to do this though…
