The dark past of Vince Reynolds
Where were you at 16 years old? Learning to drive? Enjoying your teen years? Well, that was where Vince Reynolds wasn't. Growing up in Boston, Reynolds was exposed to a lot of harsh realities, but little did he know, that his life would become the type of story told to little kids that would try to scar them straight.
It was a rainy day in July. Reynolds was riding around the Roxbury section of Boston, looking for vengence. In the car was his cousin, his best friend and a friend-of-a-friend. Earlier in the day, Reynolds and his crew were stuck up at gun point, just blocks away from Fenway Park where the Red Sox were playing.
Later that night, the group of teens were gassed up to get their revenge. They got word on where one of the theifs lived, so they drove. Three of them jumped out blocks away from their destination, and Vince was to be the get away driver. However, when he turned the corner, the cops flashed their lights. Reynolds knew he was in trouble. But he played it cool.
However, when the cops walked up, he noticed that the 16 year old didn't have a license, which was a red flag. The cop asked him to step out, when he hesitated, the cop yanked him out. After searching the car, they found two Uzi's, three bags of weed, and a rubber band full of marked dollar bills. Reynolds was in trouble.
His cohorts were caught minutes away. When they were taken into custody, one of the men claimed that everything was on Reynolds, and gave the cops an elaborate story. Reynolds was sentenced to a minimum of 15 years in the state pen.
Just two months, after a full investigation, Reynolds was cleared with most of the major charges, but got hit with probation. The same day he got out, Reynolds slipped up again. He was walking home when the same man who snitched on him, called asking to meet up to squash the beef. Reynolds shows up and sits in the man's car, when the cops pull up.
After a search of the vehicle, there were guns and drugs found in the trunk. Back to prison goes Reynolds. But, he knew something was up because the Cops never asked for permission to search the trunk. Reynolds brought this up, and was cleared.
Now at 18 years old, he is out and vows to make it in the rap game.
"I've been f*cked over all my life," Vince says. "I'm not a rapper who fabricated my past. Most of these clowns never touched anything in their life...me? Ask the BPD about me. Ask them if they know me. I'm serious about this sh*t."
