Please post all findings in this thread, for version 1.2.00 ONLY. Please make sure that you are running this version and not an older one, because the fix may have happened in the time being. Also; please make sure the 'bug' is not simply human error.. I get alot of them, and you need to be absolutely positive.

Thanks for your support!

Got it installed properly, but it's now 4:10 a.m. here in Indiana, USA, and I have to be up at 11:30 to go to work. I'll be able to play the game in the evening and give you some feedback.

Strangely enough... I got an error message while trying to publish my book. It says that "an error has occured while trying to load this message." It tells me to either disregard the message and try again or to contact Myrtilus Games... however there is no way of me closing the message. Can't do anything...

Were you loading a custom image? (That's what I was doing when this happened to me). Or is it with EVERY book you try and publish?

I loaded a custom image and then hit publish... and this is the first book I was trying to release.

Okay smile.gif I emailed him about that this morning (American time, which means he may have already gone to bed Australian time). I think it's a matter of the custom images not publishing. There may be a bug in the "custom image" selectors, or we may be making our files to the wrong specifications. Until then I recommend you play the game without the custom images.

That's most likely where the corrupted data lies (because you said your editor was crashing). So its not a bug, what I recommend you do is reinstall the game.

I've repeatedly had this happen, but it doesn't happen using your images. I'm betting no one's tested this; I posted original covers yesterday and that other mod has images. I'm thinking it was already there as a glitch, just no one had stumbled on it.

Funny that, it works fine for me.. everytime. But I did change a line around that did look a little sus, but its essentially the same thing.. so not sure if it'll work or not.

Hey can everyone please send over their errorlog.log files (if present in the Bestseller directory, the same as Bestseller.exe).. might give me an idea. Just simply open it up, and post whatever it says in there in here (dont worry about emailing them to me). Cheers

The only problem I have is I can't get past goal 4. It says to release your next book and I've realeased a few of them since that goal popped up It's not a major problem.

Are you sure you released them AFTER that goal came up, and not before?

A real problem:

I had a one year, two books contract. Had send the second manuscript to publisher already - one week before the approval the contract ran out. Contract terminated and was sued by the company - my book was accepted one week later - could publish it without publisher (field left empty)... when the book was released, it also went ok. But when it came to calculating the first royalties, the game plainly crashed and disappeared... a logical bug, that can be very frustrating when you forgot to save early...

It would be nice, if the publisher (who is always interested in getting the book) would make an option to extend the contract when it runs out, given the fact, that a book is already in work, lowering the money you get and the percentage on the contract, instead of suing the author. Is this still possible to implement?
