Undecided sorry.. will know pretty soon. If its shareware (where at the moment theres a good chance) then it wont be much at all, probebly the same as Bestseller (USD$6.95).

also depends how much work is put into it too

and an easy way of knowing if people will pay for it is by announcing it as shareware, and the more whines, which means people really want to play it, which means more people will pay for it also

nice to see it going so fast

Yeah its going reeeeeally fast.. and what more is I'm using the most loops i've ever used in a game, so I'm optimizing this baby down A LOT. What I mean by that is I've been going back and rewriting a lot of code and writing new functions so everything can share the same code.. the line count at the moment is actually VERY low for the size of the game already which is brilliant.

Just wanted to let you know that the Accord, Civic, and Odyssey are Honda. You're right with the Integra tho. Happy to see the game moving along quickly.

Isnt Honda Acura though??

Acura is a line of cars made by Honda... they are the luxury division of Honda... so the Integra's engine and all that is made by Honda but its known as an Acura in the US and Canada. It's the same as the Lexus... it is a luxury line of cars made by the Toyota. The Infiniti is a luxury line of cars made by Nissan.

So... it's like this (I know it may be confusing for people outside North America to know which is which at first):

Okay now I get it.. I was confused cause even the Integra, Legend, etc all go under the Honda banner in Australia - so i thought if they changed the name of the Accord, Civic, etc they'd do the same for the other models as well.

INFORMATION:

We have an official lineup!! The music to the game is complete, now all i need to do is contact all the bands/artists once more and get their written premission and we're all set to go

To keep the size of the game down, I've cut out 4 tracks from the playlist, to make a total of 10 songs (approximately 30min of music, at 27MB). The demo version will be considerably smaller, with only 3 tracks in the game, where as the full version will have the full 10 tracks (which will naturally be considerably larger). However, patches for the game will be <2MB in size which is excellent, so they can all be downloaded fairly quickly (even on a dial up connection).

This game will also be available on CD-ROM via eSellerate. CafePress, as good as it is, is very finiky, and although the CD-ROM version wont have all the bells and whistles the CafePress version has, it'll be cheaper, and it'll be easier for me to manage.

Update.

Another day of work on the game.. I've received confirmation back from all those who are having their music played in the game and they've all agreed to the terms and conditions I set forward, so its all coming together well.

Also ive just finished adding in a store to the music player. So the up startup the game will contain 6 tracks in it's playlist, via the store you are able to purchase an additional 4 more tracks by Saturday Night at the Apollo, Helix, DJ Thack and So Romantic.. this, i believe, add's a little extra something to the game, and it gives the players (thats you) to spend your money on additional items. Im also planning on adding the abilty to sup-up your cars for races, etc.

Also i'm working on 3 game modes for racing: Street Racer, VS and Time Trial.. Street Racer is racing against other AI cars to earn some extra doe, VS is multiplayer and Time Trial is of cause trying to race around the circuit and beat your highscore.

yeh, sounds like it's coming along nicely, I hope your english is better in the game though, ive noticed a few mistakes in some of your posts

its not really spelling mistakes that ive noticed its using the wrong words in certain places.

"cause" should be "course" (theyre two different words)
That's all I can think of now but im sure I've seen more.
