Owen Wilson was hospitalized a coupl days ago after an attempted Suicide Attempt. I am shocked, he really doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would do something like this. At least not in his movies. Just goes to show how much we really don't know about the lives of the actors we love.

im surprised more celebrities havent tried to kill them selves. ive heard they are some of the most depressed people. that basically have no real friends. people just want to be friends with them because theyre famous.

But Owen should be hanging out with Luke! Although that may cause a lot of tension seeing as Owen is so much more funny than Luke. But Luke tries to do drama too...so...that might make it better.

I agree. Being a celebrity isn't all it's cracked up to be IMHO. I remember Owen Wilson most for his role with Jackie Chan in the Shanghai series of movies. He and Jackie have some great chemistry going on, I hope to see them do more movies together -- and that Owen gets his issues streightened out. I can't imagine what would drive a person to try and kill him/herself (for that I'm very thankful) and can only imagine that it would have to be pretty bad.

They said on the news that he took drugs, and slit his wrists.. at the same sort of time.. but who knows, maybe he was on cocaine or something when he did it.. it happens.

He has a history of heroin addiction...

news reports say his relationship break up coupled with a big row with a good friend tipped him over the edge...

people are saying that other guy from night at the museum, steve coogan (he played octavius) is to blame for getting owen into hard drugs.

I think the break up with Kate Hudson had something to do with it also.

Ooo...that sort of makes that movie more watchable.

Who gives a shit... When some random person tries to commit suicide, noone really cares, but when a celebrity tries it, then everybody is suddenly interested.

as for celebrities, it could be the stress, it could be the adoring fans trying to stalk you lol, but most of all, i think they want attention, but different than what there used to

We really shouldn't care just because they're a celebrity. We need to say, "Hey, suicide is sad in any situation, but I don't know them and it's not my family so it's not my business." But these days the media over hypes it like we should only care when bad things happen to celebs. We need to just say "Oh, I hope he's okay" about Owen Wilson or ANYONE we hear about that tries to commit suicide, and move on from there.

Ehh...depends....Like if Michael Jordan tried to kill himself I'd be very upset. You just don't want to bcome one of those people that lives through everyone else's tragedies. But you can be sad. It is sad. I'm sad... It hasn't stopped my life... I didn't NOT smile today because of it. But Owen Wilson is a funny guy and I sincerely hope things work out for him.

We care because these people are heroes to kids. If they commit suicide than kids might try it because their hero did it.

Suicide is a huge issue. If people have these type of thoughts they should seek help.

I was thinking of people you don't know, about whom you read in the paper and forget about them when you turn the page...

I dunno how true that is, it reminds me of those stories that you hear "After playing WoW for 14 days straight, a young teen collapsed in his chair and died." and there are like 8 different versions of that story. Still, even if it didn't happen, it could happen.

Back in the day I had a crappy computer that lagged hardcore while playing the original Sims. It would overheat and die. (I hope the X-Box 360 doesn't get it this bad) I took off the shell and pointed a fan at it...worked much better.

You would be surprised. Look at people like the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney, Eminem, and so on. People did things they did because they worshiped them. I am willing to bet someone went bald to be like Britney.

I find it odd because those kind of things never happen here in Croatia (never heard about them, anyways). I also find it odd beacuse I (and all my friends) don't give a shit about celebrities (home or foreign). Oh well...
