Adm'rul Kurgan's Ironfang Pirate Fleet, Ahoy! A Wealth of Pirate Orcy Goodness!

I thought about a cannon, but couldn't find one small enough (!). I know that sounds mad, but if it's to be used as a pistol it should at least look as though the Giant could hold it with one hand.

I might try and get the plastic cannon "arm" from the new rat Ogres if I can talk a Skaven player into letting me have one.......

Still a bit too big I think. (They are about the same width as an Empire Great Cannon, just a bit shorter).

I got to say WKurgan, you sure have a fast work routine, it`s not that long ago you talked about the pirate giant (last week?). Wish I could have done the same but after I became a father painting, modelling and gaming has not been so easy to acomplish...

But as always, your work is a joy to see!

Would love to see some more pics of da boyz on Hogwasha, so if you got time to take some (pretty please)...and have you made some terrain and/or board for playing sea battles on??

I must admit that the Giant's legs body, upper arms and head were already stuck together when I decided to make him Piratical - you can see the Milliput I used to fill the gaps in the initial build is a lighter green than the GW Greenstuff!

I haven't got a proper "sea" board. I use a big blue sheet with my normal rocky hills as islands I am planing to base some GW jungle trees on 60mm round bases (with the odd skull and treasure chest for effect) to add to these though.

I intend to take some more pics of Da Hogwasha and crew on a more scenic background. Can't have pics of my bookcase in the final Pirate Orc army list!!

Hey thats lookin good! I like the little (or probly compared to the gaint "big")
fish. you did the detail on it well.
Also i like the way you've left some of the old foot stickin out the the boot, gives it that gianty touch

I had intended to make loads of fish but after one I went off the idea! It was really fiddley and frustrating! I might get round to adding a few more later

I very nearly covered the toes up, I had planned too. But at the last minute I thought that they look so great (well, so horrible!) and it would be a waste to hide them.

Very nice... we need to get your gs on the boots smoother, but every where it looks fine. The sack is WELL executed, and the fish is great!

I'm going to try and add creases around the ankles, so I will try to smooth out the rest of the boots then.

I thought about adding stitches, so they look like they are made of several cow-hides. But I don't know how......

Got to love those shoes as everything else!

Wow, the sack is awesome! Where did you get a plastic barrel?!

With the boots, I'd say they look a bit thin, but thats prolly cos I havent seen the rest of the model for comparison.

The barrel is from the Ogre Bulls box.

If you look *here* there are pictures of the whole Giant.

Edit: I've done a little more on the boots to try and smooth them out and add creases round the ankles.

They are looking a bit better, but no enough to warrant more pics yet! I'll keep trying.....
