Hey guys,

shameless self plug for a podcast I am involved in; from Australia, focusing on tactics and tournaments - The Dwellers Below.
The Dwellers Below

iTunes link

posting this here because we spend a deal of time towards the end discussing some elements of orc and goblin list design. Some quandaries I have been dealing with.

Enjoy!

Next episode is up!
Some more stuff about orcs in there.

Any feedback for us?

The Dwellers website

iTunes link

In this episode The Dwellers Below talk about the lead up to the next tournament – The Book of Grudges.

You also get a “robust” debate about comp and how tough is too tough. We get balls deep in list design philosophy and other aspects of how to prepare for a tournament, including proper practice, the preferred nutrition for elite dice rolling skills, as well as our usual shenanigans. Tune in soon for the post Book of Grudges run down and a few drinks!

@TheAlternate: Ha! You shouldn't listen to Garage Hammer, then. They run 3.5 hours at times.

I'll have to take a look. With a couple of the big ones dropping off, I think I have room to pick up new ones. I like the name for one in Oz.

This podcast is by a good bunch of guys in my local area. I highly recommend listening to them as our state is pretty much the home of warhammer tournaments in Oz smile.gif

My podcast app can't find episode 1, but I've started #2. Pretty interesting so far. OnG talk is much appreciated. Hard to tell who is who at first and the sound quality could be improved (but I've heard worse). I think it can be hard to get a number of guys at one time. Love the sound effects for the show.

I have been listening to these guys and I like them a lot. I hope the sound quality improves. Multiple microphones would be great.

Good to hear OnG in the discussion...

Thanks for Episode 5 Jaysta, it's the best yet tongue.gif. I put that down to the constant winging about my orc and goblin list and how facing 60 white lions an 4 eagles is apparently more enjoyable tongue.gif

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I have added an RSS feed icon on the sidebar to the right. Hope that makes is a bit easier. The feed url should be: http://thedwellersbelow.com/feed/podcast/

We have just invested in a LOT of recording equipment, so once I figure out how it all works there should be a very noticeable improvement in sound quality.

Staks, thought you might like the last episode in particular ;-)
Also, I am wanting to do an Orcs and Goblin book review somewhere in the next few episodes, would love to have you on for that one Staks.

Also after some input from Da Warpath members on anything that people think is important to detail.

Thanks for the support, Greenskins!

jabe.

Great for the new equipment! I'm only on episode 3 so far. Not had as much podcast time lately as I normally do.

I really liked the thought processes that you guys went into for tournament prep and list building. It's something that a lot of podcasts don't get right. You guys went into a lot more thoughts, meta-game, etc than a lot do.

Hmmmm....feedback from Da Warpath? I'd really be interested to hear how you guys think comp affects OnG. Do you think it helps them? If you were in a non-comped area, would Greenskins do as well?

Are there "standard builds" of Greenskin armies down under? Do most people usually play a certain way? Can different styles do well?

How do Greenskins do against the Ogres and Demi-Griffs of the latest meta?

Yeah cool that could be some fun Jabe, comparing ideas and unit types together on the show. Just make sure Gentile is there, so that he can be the entertainment calling everything filth when he clearly doesn't know what it's like facing 60 white lions tongue.gif

I *generally* run lists that aren't net lists, so hopefully your listeners might get a bit out of it, at least something they don't already know.

So, I'm only part way through your first podcast, but you asked for feedback.
I will endevour to give you more feedback soon but as far as first impressions go:
You seem to be swearing purely to fill in space and create credibility. I frankly dont see the reason for most of it. I can handle swearing, but I find swearing for the sake of it to be the realm of 15 year olds.

But I'm enjoying it so far... Eventually I'll work out the in jokes.
Where in oz are you? I'm brissy.
