Not an AB, a White Dwarf update! But yeah, it came out of the blue. Some crazy stuff- Soulgrinders in Fantasy, really?

Not looking forward to GW going mucking about my main army with WD updates. And seriously? Soulgrinders? Really?
Overall impression....  At least Plaguebearers are finally coming to plastic. |

Well some people are guessing that's the case, but I don't see any such indications! On the contrary, there are two new seeker chariots and a big monster, just like all other AB's! Besides I've never seen GW do Trailers for WD erretas. I think it's an Army Book. I guess we'll just have to see  |

Theo is right. No Army Book, just a booklet in WD.
But... Right down the bottom: Mascot (the Bear?), Duelists, Merchant and Scribe in Finecast.   |

Don't you think? I really quite like the Plaguebearers, they're pretty crazy-looking. And The Slaaneshi stuff looks weird but pretty cool, nothing special. The Flamers are a bit odd, but since they are Tzeentch Daemons that's probably a good thing! I'm a bit confused as to why the Screamers are a multi-part plastic kit. They seems so...two-dimensional. Lots of horns and stuff on the sprues? Theo |

Probably both. I don't expect the Army Book this year. Having said that Vampires got a WD update, then a new AB within a few months. |

I thought that either Warriors of Chaos or Demons of Chaos were suppose to get a new book before the end of the year? If it follows the VC model, then it will be Demons.
Personally, I LIKE that they are actually putting rules in WD. Oh, and army updates? YES PLEASE! I would love for them to do something like that even for those armies that are not being done soon. Of course, they usually provide new models, but they COULD also change existing ones. Look at the Power Scroll. For one, I wish they would change Squig Herds to have Animal & Handlers rules. So.................what does everyone THINK of the new rules? They have been bounced around Twitter. I have been told that they nerfed Flamers by a little bit, but still good. Made them more expensive, but also made them Special (instead of Rare). The other things (Seekers?) got better, but more expensive? Anything really bad for us as OnG? It almost seems that they have more chaff? We can usually out-chaff anyone, so maybe it's a good thing? |
