--edit---

i was in Legoland in Denmark last month and if you see what fantastic stars wars displays they have, i would really want to see what they can do with the battle on pelenor fiels/siege of gondor.

Wouldn't it be hysterical if someone made an Orc and Goblin army fully from Lego? Lego rock lobbas and chariots. Maybe even Lego Squigs! Oh, it would be awesome, though probably more expensive....

you could do an army of empire and O&G, but you would need rules for Vacum cleaners and small pets....

On the plus side. Elastics as artilery....

Or 40k! My son kind of wants to get into 40k. I know he will like it, but hope it is just a transition period until he gets into Fantasy. Maybe I can build him an army from Legos and we can play? We can build all the vehicles and use the space guys for Space Marines. You have fewer models in 40k, right?

Lego rules. I have played numerous games with my son, using simplified Warhammer Fantasy and 40K rules, and with an all-Lego army. He enjoyed the fact that you could take the dead apart and make a cool looking battlefield, with heads and bits all over.

We have played Pirate-Lego Warhammer, Vampire-slaying-Lego Warhammer, Cities of Death Lego 40K, Invasion of the Zombies Lego 40K, Enormous Lego Monsters vs. Empire Cannon Gunline Warhammer, Jungle Orcs vs. Intrepid Explorers Lego, Oh-No-The-Moon-Is-Suddently-Full-Of-Monsters-Vs.-Armstrong-And-Buzz-Aldrin-And-Friends-With-Laser-Guns Lego 40K and so on and so on.

The variations are endless, and it has been a good way of introducing him to 'real' Warhammer and the rolling of lots of dice.

PS: As a citizen of Denmark (home of Lego) I can only applaud the usage of Lego through all aspects of life :-)

Can everybody please stop this.

You're making me want to go back to my childhood sad.gif

Perhaps time to have children then, so I can play with lego and say it's for the kid

(not that I don't play with toy soldiers now, but if they cost mint it's a well-respected hobby)

I say keep going and you can see why below since I seemed to have gone on a bit at length.

Also I mean there isn't anything wrong with going back to your childhood heck I never wanted to grow up so I'm always buying more toys from my childhood simply because I can afford the ones I want now as an adult and I'm not bothered by what others think of me really it's my money and my life and if I choose to buy toys to nurture my inner child and keep my imagination going then I will.

Lego was also one of my favorite things when I was growing up and still is today so I never have any reason not to go to a store and pick up a set or two maybe more depending on my money and mood because it's one thing most people can honestly understand.

If they look down on you for it eh tough luck for them you'll just happily buy and build the set while your still nurturing your inner child and keeping your imagination going which is never wrong in my opinion.

This is the best part of being a Dad! The only problem is when they start to become more mature than me sad.gif My 13 year old is at that point, but I've got a few more years on my 7 year old son!
