So I have the plastic Black Orc kit and I'd love to build an entire unit with great weapons. But, there aren't enough of them for everyone, and half the models have their arms positioned for carrying two hand weapons or shields. Do yu guys have any creative ways of kitting out an entire unit with gw's?

I have made a large axe (or rather a halberd) from the second bannerpole.
But i think you will just have to enlarge one of their weapons and cut of the other and be happy with them carrying the 2handed weapon with one hand. |

They're buggers to convert because of the poses and arm positions, but also because their size makes them extremely difficult to rank up anyway without restricting your options for poses.
Personally I wouldn't bother - armed to da teef rule and all that. Maybe just make up more of the front 2 ranks with great weapons if you prefer the look? |

The thing is I'm playing 6th edition, so you still have to buy their equipment. I remembered there are "older" metal minis with great weapons, but I don't know if I can find those easily.. |

LOL, that's quite funny cause I just won 30 old great weapon blorcs xD Anyway I think that you could buy 2 boxes of plastic black orcs and trade off the 2 weapon ones
 enlarging some of their weapons or using some of the ironguts/bulls ones could do the job |

You're not supposed to. Blackorcs are armed with both 2 handweapons and a great weapon, and as such that's how the kit is designed.
