Black Crag. The forbidding fortress sits astride the western end of Death Pass, its grim towers facing both east and west, tattered orcish flags hung from the ramparts. Barring one of the major routes through the mountains its orcish overlords have for centuries grown fat on tolls and tithes from human caravans passing east. At the same time the fortress has become a gathering point for various greenskin thieves, traders, renegades and sell-swords moving back and forth between the Darklands and the Badlands. These free-booterz have made a vast encampment just beyond the gates. Even by orc standards it is a wretched hive of scum and villany.
Among the wanderers drawn to this place is aged and gnarly orc shaman named Snagtoof. Rumour has spread that Snagtoof has had a vision from Gork (or possibly Mork) showing him the location of the legendary lost axe of Gorbad Ironclaw. Now Snagtoof is recruiting volunteers for his axe-finding expedition. The question is, what brave greenskins will answer the call? ... As stated on the previous thread this is a forum based RPG. You don't necessarily need huge amounts of spare time to take part. You will be expected to post roughly once every 5 days as a minimum. In minimal terms all you will need is a single short paragraph to say what action your character is taking. But obviously the more actively you participate the more you (hopefully) get out. To join please log your character using the form below. To make the game manageable I am going to set a maximum of 6 players. Characters should be orcs or goblins or orc-and-goblin related (no trolls), I may consider other requests but you should ask first before you post. Name: Race: Profession: warrior, hunter, thief, skulker, shaman etc... (other choices could be an orc blacksmith or goblin engineer.) Equipment: you start with a handweapon and the basic tools of your profession, eg. a goblin thief might have lock-picks, warrior-types can choose their weapon combo eg. greatweapon, or axe&shield. Description: How your character looks, how he is dressed Background: Notes: If you play a warrior type you will be roughly equivalent ability to an orc or goblin boss. If you play a shaman you will be equivalent to a warhammer L2 shaman, you can pick any 2 spells from the OnG book to start the game with (but not Foot of Gork or Curse of the Bad Moon). Obviously on paper goblins are somewhat weaker in strength than orcs, to compensate for this if you pick a goblin you also get to 'invent' a special skill for your character (to be approved by the Gamesmaster - ie. myself). Name: Nyah Nyah Brittlestitchez the Lucky Snotling (Nyah Nyah for short).
Race: Snotling (sort of). Profession: Amateur Thief. Equipment: Handweapon, tiny throwing daggers, lock picks and rope. Description: Nyah Nyah is more or less the size of a common snotling. Wears a little black cloak that can be left down, or pulled over Nyah Nyah's head for near-invisibility. Otherwise Nyah Nyah is naked, save for the series of scars and stitches down his backside. Special Abilities: "Nyah Nyah!" About the only legible words Nyah Nyah can muster from his broken vocal chords in the heat of combat. Useful for redirecting enemies from other members of the party and distracting them long enough for others to escape or dig a sneaky one into the monster's back. "Small and squishy." Nyah Nyah is so small that most enemies ignore him, and that when exploring, he can fit into the tiniest of cracks to search for treasure. "Very lucky." Nyah Nyah is extremely lucky. Even when attached to his brother's shoulder, warbosses would come from far and wide to give the little snotling a little pat and rub before a battle. It is said that anyone who did never lost. Although the ones who lost never came back to complain... Background: Nyah Nyah spent much of his life as a conjoined twin to his Goblin brother Smakkaz Two-Head, until he was unceremoniously chopped off Smakkaz' shoulder during a vicious bar fight. Fortunately for Nyah Nyah, although he didn't inherit his brother's size, he was the smarter of the two and used his superior intellect to great effect. After months of physical therapy at the hands of orc shamans (his poor little legs had never seen use) and surgery, although crude (giving him his name Brittlestitchez), Nyah Nyah was able to avoid servitude in the snotling swarms through clever use of his brain and the surprising way he was able to sneakily steal items for a fee. This was mostly due to his small size and ability to fit in the tightest holes (not all of them pleasant let me tell you!). His brother being appointed Goblin Big Boss didn't hurt either. But Nyah Nyah grew tired of being simply the tribe pick-pocket. His squeaky voice commands no power and his familial ties only go so far. So when Nyah Nyah heard of the quest for the lost axe, he knew nothing could stop him from joining the quest. Even if he had to sneak into a bigger orc's knapsack to do it... So that's meh guy - Lemme know if it's all acceptable. You can probably add/modify the special abilities as I don't know how you'd be utilizing all this. Well the character background is a little bizzare, but I'll allow it.
Just don't blame me if you get threatened and bossed about by the bigger characters. |

YAAY! If dey do, I'll stick 'em where it 'urtz!
It was the first way I could think of to endow my snotling with intellect and prowess in something, since you denied me being a super squig... Besides, hobbits were small and squishy too but they put the ring in Mount Doom! ![]() Looking forward to what everyone else comes up with! Name: Nazznaff 'Bad taste' da Loon
Race: Forest Goblin Profession: Shaman Spells: Itchy Nuisance, Gift of the Spider God Equipment: A staff, tatty ceremonial clothes, shamanic fetishes and his pet spiders. Description: Nazznaff is a lanky goblin continuously twitching, his left eye close to popping out of his skull. He wears the remains of an impressive ceremonial head dress and cape made from feathers, however time seems have caused most of the feathers to fall off or decay. Small spiders can be seen scurrying on his skin and clothes. Background: Nazznaff was kicked from the Bloo Krawla tribe simply because his tribe could not understand a single word he said....if what he said could even be described as words. This may have been caused by the vast amount of venomous spiders he has eaten through the years and during his time of exile; this spider eating habit had increased to incredible levels. The vast amount of venom he has ingested seems to have been stored within his body giving him a rudimentary defense against the odd hungry Orc; it has also given him a rather nasty case of flatulence. Nazznaff has joined the quest for the lost axe mainly because he saw a group of greenskins surrounding a gnarled shaman and joined it, his venom addled mind completely oblivious to the task ahead. Special Abilities: 'Incoherent Babbling’- Nazznaff’s ‘language’ (if you call it that) makes it extremely difficult for enemy spell casters to determine whether he is casting a spell or just babbling nonsense (which is usually the case). ‘Poisonous’- Due to the mass amount of venom he has ingested over the years, Nazznaff has developed a resistance to poison and venom. He also has developed the ability to store poison within him making him both taste horrible and deterring any hungry predators. There we go, one crazy spider eating looney at the ready! Like with Da Spawn Man feel free to tinker or add any other abilities or doodads |

Name: Kragga Met'l Ead (Metal Head for short)
Race: Orc Profession: Warrior Equipment: Choppa, Shield, Met'l Boots ta kick things, Dats it Description: Kragga is a large orc with a very small helmet on his head, crudely made leather clothes and a bear skin hang from his massive frame. His Choppa and Shiled are slung across his back and His boots make a solid klunk when the hit the Ground. Background: Kragga once cought and ate a halfling when he was smaller, as a trophy he squeezed the halflings helmet onto his head and tromped back to camp. He was so proud of his first trophy that as he grew he just ignored the pain that it was causing his head. Now that he has grown into a rather large Orc the helmet has become stuck and looks to have fused to his Skull. Kragga has terrable Ead achs due to the presure the helmet puts on his head but refuses to try to take it off and will Klump anybody who makes fun of his Tiny Head. ![]() Forest Lurkin' Backstabbin' Night Git ![]() Group: Members Posts: 715 Member No.: 6,578 Joined: 18-October 11 |
Name: Gitlik
Race: Night Goblin Profession: Beastie Hunter Equipment: Squig-Net, Spear, Dagger Special Ability: 'Beasty Tamer' - Gitlik has the uncanny ability, through a combination of weird crooning and bribing with the tastiest of fungus, to entice wild creatures to calmly approach, and even eat out of his hand (where they are then close enough for him to stab 'em in da eye!). While his crooning primarily works on wild animals, he did once manage to calm (and confuse) a homicidal orc for long enough to sneak away. Description: Wrapped in a long, dark brown cloak, Gitlik moves in an odd, skittering fashion and makes surprisingly little noise. His face is constantly spattered with mud and leaves, and he has the disconcerting habit of licking his lips when looking at other greenskins. Background: Hailing from the Marshes of Madness, Gitlik was a hunter and beasty-tamer extraordinaire. He would disappear for days on end, only to reappear proudly leading an new squig for the tribes pens. Unfortunately, he miscalculated slightly when he led his bestest pet yet, a baby river troll, directly to da warboss's tent to show off. The resulting carnage when its angry mother arrived was enough to see Gitlik banished from his tribe. He has been drawn to answer Snagtoof's call because a legendary axe probably has legendary beasts guarding it, and what better way to regain favor wiv da boss than to stab the biggest, baddest, beastie of them all? |

So we've got an orc warrior, a night goblin hunter, a forest goblin shaman and a snotling thief. This is gonna be awesome!
![]() Yeah another orc or two would be great, and a warrior. Although I'm still secretly hoping for an orc demo-man/engineer. EVERY action movie has gotta have that cool cat who cleans up the bodies and puts the C4 in place, all while smoking a cigar with a Scottish accent. Well sadly C4 does not exist in warhammer so I would not be able to allow that.
![]() Edit: I'll wait 1 more day then start the game. Even after we make a start late-comers will still be able to sign up & join. This post has been edited by Craze_b0i on Jun 24 2012, 11:58 AM |

You squishy uns sure need some real powah to show them enemies whos da boss!
Name: Tarosch Doorcracka Race: Black orc (it is just a reason to carry ridicculous amounts of cumbersome choppas later on )Profession: Warrior Equipment: Da doorcracka (Taroschs favorite great axe) and a choppa for good measure. He wears lilac and green armour made after propper orc design, keep in un orcishly good condition. Description: Like most of his burly kind Tarosch is a darker shade in both skin color and humors, he is big and bulky with hands large enough to crush a humans skull with just one of them. His skin is covered in scars from various battles and in his right eye socket is a painted red stone instead of an eye, how he lost his eye is "Nun of yeer bloody business". Under his armour he wears Purple leather trousers and vest with bright green bits of metal stitched on and both his boots and gloves are made of black leather. In his belt he has sewn on splinters from every door he ever knocked down (and probbably a table or two), amongst his other assecories lists his fancy teeth necklas and a "water" pouch with the words "Mine" spellt backwards painted on it. Background: Tarosch got his name when his former tribe (Furlo Roths boyz) raided a watch tower in the borderlands and Tarosch, leading the charge, smacked down every door of the tower singelhandedly, having since then allways been in charge of breaking down doors Tarsoch found himself not getting to crack enough hummies due to the others rushing past him once the door was propperly splintered and so he set out on a great journey he himself likes to call "Ma big fight around da world". hearing the shaman talk about a great journey to discover great loot seemed to him like something that should definently be part of his journey because there is bound to be some fun times to be had. He enjoys a good row and is never late to axe another boar for the afterstomping festivities. and here he is, painted to the best of my abillities (I'm rather poor at drawing, atleast I can make it look a bit orcy) ![]() Thats my guy, I hope he is ok This post has been edited by Gork Morksson on Jun 24 2012, 06:13 PM |

Black orc is fine. But to mitigate the extra strength you are notably slower and less agile than regular orcs, and not very good at taking cover.
![]() I should say as well common orcs and black orcs start with light or heavy armour, as appropriate. This post has been edited by Craze_b0i on Jun 24 2012, 05:49 PM |

doh, forgot about the strenght bonus, I was just thinking about how fun it would be to roleplay an orc who hordes weapons (yes I will try and make the gobbo guys carry them for me
). Anyways good thinking with lowering his manourverbillity, as my old warboss allways said, only if you can take a beating are you allowed to punch back |

Well looking in the rulebook I got that slightly wrong actually, a black orc boss is only S4 same as the orc. Its WS where he gets the extra point.
Edit: nice drawing btw. This post has been edited by Craze_b0i on Jun 24 2012, 09:41 PM |
