Which troops do you already have?

This makes it easier to help.

An all-goblin army is not an easy army to play, but with the right tools it can be pretty powerful. Goblins are not as strong as orcs, so you have to cover that muscle with other stuff. You will need some of these elements:

- Squig herds: Great punch in a small base! Great for flanking in small units (12/10, 15/10) or bigger ones close to your Ld bubble (25/10, 26/9, 30/10 deployed 7 wide, I don’t recommend hordes). The big ones can also do some flanking duties, but watch out if they explode. Sometimes is a good idea to keep them close to your general cause of that fact.

- Trolls: Cheap and hitty. They will need Ld, so keep them close to your general and BSB. A unit of 6 still a cheap option. Also, you can bring more (7,8,9). Avoid fire and I test spells wink.gif. A good way to see where your opponent is hiding the flaming banner, is to deploy these guys soon, so your opponent will try to counter it with his nasty banner.

- Giant / Aracknarok: These creatures are awesome, but they work a bit different from each other. The Arok is very tough, 8W and T6 makes it very durable. Really fast and hitty choice. The drawback is his Ld6, if you don’t win combat, it will run for sure (even been stubborn), so be careful with that. The giant is a funny creature to play, but random. The big advantage is that he is Ld10, so he doesn’t need an extra boost on Ld and he can be far away from the general (something great for an all-goblin army). He dies easily against a shooty army, so protect him a bit if you include him.

- Warbosses / big bosses with GW. Dirty cheap characters with S6 is always a good idea. I prefer warbosses, as they have +WS, +W and +Ld and that makes a big difference between the big boss version. Of course is more expensive, but it worths. This way, your goblin units will have an extra punch.

Another important issue in this army is the Ld. You will need a goblin warboss, as it has Ld8 (the highest for goblin lords). He can be boosted with a standard of discipline, but that implies to keep both BSB and general in the same unit and also implies a naked BSB to carry that banner biggrin.gif. That way, you will have Ld9 bubble. This is mandatory for me if I include trolls. In theory, Ld8 with rerolls will pass Ld tests in a big %, but if you don’t trust on statistics as I do, then do this trick!

but how do you think about shooty stuff like doom diver, chukka's and chariots??

and what do i do with a horde of 40 ngobbo's shields spears net's 2 fanatics FC
i charged 1 elf block of spear man in the flank! and stil made 1 kill then they ran away i must say they didnt have a char in it.

Warmachines are always handy, so try to include them. Spear chukkas are great for their points. Against monsters, heavy cavalry and armored troops can do a good job. They can give you a surprise. Rock lobbers can deal easily with monsters, warmachines and troops with T3 and not much armor. Include as many as you can to increase the ‘Hit’ rate. And last but not least, the doom diver! Great warmachine, one of the best in the game. Very accurate, perfect for killing heavy cavalry, armor troops, lone characters and deal some ones to monsters. A good all-around warmachine. I usually include 2 doom divers minimum and a rock lobber. If you can, bring 2 of both wink.gif. Spear chukkas is up to you, but is not a bad add at all!.

Chariots are always a good support. Wolf chariots are perfect for killing chaff, support combats and sometimes can hunt warmachines wink.gif.

Well, if you deploy them as an horde, you won’t have many ranks tongue.gif, but I guess you mean horde as a big unit of NG (deploy them always 5 wide). You need to keep them close to the general, so in case you need to do a Ld test, they can pass it. You were unlucky in that situation, because doing a flank charge you deny his rank bonus and he can’t do support attacks and also with the nets you make him -1S. So yes, you should had won that combat wink.gif.

I don't play with special characters, but Skarsnik is not bad. However, IMO, the points he cost are better spend elsewhere.
