As I worked on my Taugrek BSB today the question popped up, why there´s no GW character nor any real artwork? Not that I would change my version of Taugrek, but there is artwork available about those chars usually.

Was that one called Taugrek as well?

Fluff wise he´s the one who safed Grimgor´s standard in the battle against Crom where the stinky goblins fled. After that he became Grimgor´s BSB. There´s not much fluff about him as far as I know. I found a passage about him in the Storm of Chaos campaign book and there is some self written rules about him (Warpath Link) but nothing official - as far as I know.

well from what I understand games workshop no longer supports the storm of chaos fluff so that's probably why the guy didn't get any attention.

Yeh, SoT is 6th edition but the stuff is still part of the fluff. It really buggers me that chars like Borgut and Taugrek found no place in the current armybook. I mean, we have many heroes but those 2 are just awesome! Why not include them? In the end we can make our own and use BO hero stats for them but I´d like to have them anyway.

In the current book, has Grimgor fought Crom yet? I haven't checked closely, but my impression was the 8th ed book takes place a few years before the 6th ed one, ie Grimgor has just gone to the place with all the Skaven once, rather than several times.

Although it seems there was a model for him, just a limited edition one, which is why they are unlikely to make another.

Yeh, the current book tells nothing about his fight against Crom nor the Storm of Chaos. It reads like he just returned to stomp some skavens.
