I voted 3 because I like the mini, but it's not very versatile. The way it's positioned will not be easy to set it apart from another general's if you were to meet one on the battlefield. And those fine banner strings look like they'll break easily if you try to file them... :/

Well not banner, but heck it looks like a banner and his stick looks like a musician's drum stick. Not very shaman-y. I'd have liked a more crazy, weird gobbo shaman. I think Warhammer is losing that sense of unbridled fun as the rules get darker. sad.gif

I didn't really pay much attention to his staff before, but you are right the cross-beam does make it too much like a banner pole. It also makes it look like he is holding a giant crucifix, which I am sure is not the look they intended.

Its annoying, italmost looks like the staff was added as an afterthought. If he'd just been holding a skull or smallish trinket it could have been much better.
It does offer decent scope for bsb conversion, but i'm not a fan of it as a shaman.

It's a bit low key for a shaman, but still nice and as an added bonus it could make a good BSB.

I like that GW is finally making some figures with more 'realistic' and more suttle but still dynamic poses. So i rated it 4.

Face is nothing special. I really dont mind the cross beam on his staff, but i agree with the comments that he could be a little bit more shamany.

I gave it a 4. I think it's pretty good. It looks like the latest version of Goblins (smaller) and that should please a lot of people. I kind of like the staff, to be honest. It's something pretty new.

Do we need another Goblin Shaman? It's a Common Goblin, too, so....who's going to use it?

I think it could easily be made into a BSB, though. We don't even have an official Goblin BSB (NG or Common). I'd rather see them make a mini for one of those two.

I voted 3. Good mini, in plastic so easily convertible, the sculpt is nice though a little bit flat.

When you put this shaman next to other common goblins, the improvement is substantial IMO. Hopefully this is a sign of what's to come regarding common gobos. The shaman's head and hands are much smaller than the current common goblins.

I voted 3 too. He seems a bit meek. Even common gobbo shamans are screaming insane buggers, not brooding souls who gaze at the bleakness around them and wonder if there might be a better way. Great sculpt, just a bit understated from someone who kills people with giant grinning moons.

At the moment I voted for 3, but I believe I'll give him 4 when I see one on a gaming table. The sculpt looks ok, but I have some problems with his face... He's a goblin after all, he should be grinning evilly. wink.gif Also the bone in his hand looks a bit plain, I'd prefer a jagged dagger or other gobliny weapon instead.

- Cheers, Skarsnik.

I voted three as well, but I was considering giving it a four. But honestly, there are much better shaman models out there, so I'll keep it at three.

It's a bit underwhelming really....

The pole thingy he's holding looks nothing like a crucifix though, banner maybe but sertainly not a crucifix!

He could have been done a lot better, but it is nice to see G.W producing a Common Goblin Shaman for a change. The SO boss is ok, but again I can't help but feel the both lack "something"....

As for the scuculpt itself, well the Shaman, to me is a better sculpt.

Just a 2 from me. If you are going to go to the effort of producing a plastic kit, give us some variety! The Empire wizard kit is a fine example of how to do it properly. Now we get a single pose plastic kit at single pose metal kit prices no doubt...
In itself it isn't bad, but definitely an opportunity missed.
