In preparation for a Greenskins versus Greenskins battle on Saturday I thought I had better '8th-edition-ify' another old(ish) goblin unit - my gobbo pirates.
This regiment were originally a nice 25 strong 7th ed sized unit, with two unit fillers of 2x2 - 2 gobs guarding budge barrels and and 2 gobs repairing a pistol. The original thread with completed pictures about these guys is at http://z3.invisionfree.com/Orc__Goblin_War...howtopic=26001) I wanted a 40 strong unit and so have painted a few extras. Here are the new scurvy scallywags:  I also made another two 2x2 base unit fillers as I am beginning to enjoy creating these. The first is my favourite unit filler yet - a mean gobbo with his little pack of ship’s rats …  The second is a pirate ‘standard’ image - burying a treasure chest. You can’t see it in the picture, but the hole goes deeper than the base’s surface. I cut a hole in the base then put plasticard at the bottom thus they are digging through the base!  So, with 7 new gobbos and two unit fillers (using 3 more gobbos) I get the footprint of 15 to add to the 25 regiment. Here they all are together, in an 8 by 5 formation …  |
