Finecast quality is not so much an issue anymore.
But the damn price is.

why the hell would they bring out the wolf chariot in finecast for three times the cost I can get an old metal one for on Ebay?
Nice gesture but I think they will lose money on stuff like this.

Also: Most people use TK chariots or scratchbuild ones anyway.

Good new about the Savage Boss though.
Goblin shamans, not so much. I got me a load of these already

I still hate resin. It's too expensive.

I'm interested in the space marine gunship!

20% price increase is common for the metal to resin switch and depending on the miniature it can be a lot. So yes, the price tag is unwanted. But we might see a decrease sometime in the future. GW had a lot of changes and it seems their business philosophy/management philosophy is on line with what they´re telling us now. So yes, I can imagine a price decrease for the first time in GWs history. smile.gif

Whineseer has pics!

The SOBB looks ace, suffers from the same weird muscle painting as the regular ones but the mini itself is perfect. I'm definitely getting one.

The Shaman is nice, but there were already plenty of Shamans to choose from.

Oh, and if you like 40k Orks you should check out the Bomma. Really great model, that (http://www.warseer.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=141027&d=1337737028).

Hmmm ok but don't think I will buy.

I recon you could make a shaman of equal quality simply using a common goblin with a trimmed down banner pole and a wolf-rider cloak.

I like both (though I really hoped they would be Brian Nelson sculpts). I'll be buying some finecasterised O&G first though.

The savage orc looks ok. A bit too busy and oddly posed for my taste, but still a nice model. The shaman looks fun. I might pick him up. I'd be interested to see if the orange feet just beneath his in the photo are squig feet or chicken feet like the one on his staff.

I think the savage orc warboss could do with a bit more bling and trophies. At the very least I would expect a full necklace of saurus teeth.

Savage Orc really fits in nicely with the Savages, but since I'm not keen on Savages anymore, I'm not needing to grab him.

The Shaman on the other hand looks like something I could use. Though I really wish they'd stop making things like rocks and tree trunks and such as an integral part of the model's stance. That kind of thing is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, and makes it hard for me to consider buying the models in question unless the rock/trunk/etc can be worked out of the model. But it looks like the Shaman's stance is half crouched on the rock, so it'd be awkward to take him away from it...

They're OK models, I like the pose of the SO boss, but as I don't have any SO boys or boars for him to play with, not something I'll pick up soon. The goblin, well, at least they have a generic goblin shaman in plastic now which is good with how popular the little waaagh lore is for anyone starting out, or hasn't got BFSP stuff. Still planning my NG/squirrel shaman hybrid called Mush-E... wink.gif

I'm particularly looking forward to Finecast Squigs, because I've drilled antler holes into (counting) about 24 metal squigs so far and my hands are still a little crampy thinking about it. Gonna save my pennies and buy up stacks and stacks of Finecast Squigs.
