Well, this time I return with a double project:
First I sculpted a mangler size "similar-to-a-squig-creature".

And then I casted molds of it.
and this is the final shape of the resin body.

The project does not end here!!
I am sculpting additional legs and spare teeth to build the creature in different positions.
After finishing with this one I will sculpt another body to finish the mangler kit.

I hope you like it ninja.gif ninja.gif

Oh unsure.gif do you think the left leg looks so weird?
I wanted to put it like jumping (similar to the GW one) so that anyone can complete the official ones with one of these.

I dont really know how to properly discribe what i mean.

First of, I am not really a fan of squigs in general. One of the reasons is that as soon as you try to make it look like running it starts to look unbalanced.
Although being a fantasy creature and therefore there is not anatomical correctness the closest thing they resemble anatomically is birds and birds cannot stretch their leg this far back and therefor it looks not completely right to me.

But that is just me. The model looks amazing the leg just looks a bit overstrechted to me

Squigs are so lovely wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

Great model!

But the legs might look 'off' because they aren't both in the proper position.

If you google people running you will see that if one leg is that far backward the other is almost equaly far forward.

Like this:

But perhaps you can do something about this in assembly of the mini.

Foregive me for pointing it out but Squigs don't run do they? They hop. This would make their legs look differently to an animal that runs.

Despite that technical point, I recon your model is great!

oh, I see your point.
However, as the GW model, this one is hopping on top of something (maybe another cave creature) an therefore he has one of the legs stretched backwards.
On the other hand, I made a running squig for my NG warboss to show running squigs (another variety):

The DNA recombination between "green" and mushroom just gives lots of possibilities!!!

Hello again,
this time I bring you some pics of how to combine the two bodies with the two mandibles to make 4 different Mangler Cave Creatures bodies.
Hope you like them.
Hopefully I will have them casted and ready for sell in a couple of weeks (depending on how much time I have left for the hobby...)
