Are we sure that a Big Boss with a Opal Amulet-style Ward save to survive the trip toward the big gribbly wouldn't do the job just as well? Still swinging at S7/6 on most turns, and sporting that trending 2+ vs. Flaming Ward save.

You could, but I'd be worried about the S5 base attack (it's not a stomp and it's not burning) along with any attacks that might slip through the 2+ ward.
You know Rothgar, a Goblin Warboss on Wolf can do the same job as an Orc Warboss. With a +2S magic weapon he'll be hitting hard enough, and he'll be a lot cheaper while sporting 3W, increased mobility with fast cav and M9! He could have a Charmed Shield aswell. I like this alternative. Gobbo Warboss it is.

hmm... alright, so we can only rely on the forced overrun, and not failed LD tests. It should be possible to redirect it, but with free pivot and M9, It'll be back next movement phase. Are blorcs capable of taking it down if they can get a flank charge on it? |

Flankcharge will make no difference, really
Single character mounted with 2+ ward fire is the best option we've got. |

Probably something along these lines.
Savage Orc war boss War boar, ogre blade, light armour, shield, dragon helm, talisman of endurance, other tricksters shard. This is a build I use against the skull taker mounted on juggernaut. But I'm sure it would do just as good in against this beast too. |

maybe... but he seams horrible espensive for the purpose of maybe running into a monster with flaming attacks. What about a goblin big boss on gigantic spider with the dragon helmet, a luckstone and a cheap magic weapon. He is formidable for so many things. could he do this as well?? |

Yes, and poison is nice too. All that matters is that you've got 3W and the 2+ ward against flaming.

The Relic Sword is a cheap option that will have you wounding on a 5+ no matter what. That can be nice. Sure, it will get an armor save and a ward save, but it's better than nothing. If you want cheap, you can go with the Goblin Big Boss on Spider with Relic Sword, Dragon Helm, and Dawnstone. Upgrade to a Wardboss for better effectiveness if you want to spend more points.
Being able to dictate it's movement somewhat with sacrificial fast cav, though, can help you get it to a spot where your Black Orcs might be able to hit it. |

I believe the ward save is only against non-magical attacks
