hi,

not strictly a rules question, but how do you use the skarsnik+gobla model if you include the model in your squigherd.

thx.

Not sure what you mean?

If you're just using them as a place filler then I guess you need to state how many squigs/handlers they represent and keep a tally of what gets killed somehow.

yeah, as a place filler.

I was wondering what the easiest way was to keep track. I guess it can get rather confusing if you say he represents 4 squigs and 2 handlers.

Skarsnik fights well enough himself that I would just count the whole base as squigs. There is no confusion with that.

i'd go with 2 handlers two squigs as there is the second goblin

in the reverse situation:
i have the old skarsnik and gobla, two separate bases, so if using him as skarsnik should i unit-fill the two places behind him so he is technically on a monster base?

New Skarsnik is on a 40 x 60mm base.

In friendly games I think you should be ok. You probably would not be able to use him in a comp though.

I would have thought it would be easiest to count him all all squigs. Way less complicated and just remove him when 6 squigs die...

Funnily enough, I am getting ready for a tournament and am planning to include the (new) Skarsnik model in my unit of squigs.

I have I think 24 squigs in the unit in 6w x 4d formation. Given Skarsnik is 3w x 2d he fits perfectly into either the second or third rank and represent 6 squigs.

Using him to represent both squigs and handlers is just asking for trouble, IMO.
