Hi all! , ive been an on and off hobbyist for a fair while but work/ study/travel has got in the way of ever painting a full army.
Recently my local Games Workshop ( Parramatta, Sydney, Australia) started an Army Builder Challenge ( 750 points in a month) so i entered to try and get myself to work on a fully painted army for a change. The first 750 points is now complete and i am set to start work on another 750 points for April's Army Builder Challenge. Army is as follows Big Boss Shaman 25 orc boyz, spears, shields, full command 235pts 21 orc boyz, shields, full command 182pts Boar Chariot 85pts Doom Diver 80pts First up an Army Wide shot : ![]() As you will notice the bases are not done, as i went into store today for some advice on colours, i had browns and so on at home but these were too similar to the cloth colours i had chosen. The new texture paints look alright though - there was a desert one and then a drybrush paint that worked really well together so i am waiting to get my hands on those ![]() The doom diver up the back is a converted Ogre Kingdoms Scraplauncher ![]() Everything else is straight out of the box and assembled. heres a closer of the doom diver for anyone curious ![]() ![]() please leave any comments and criticisms. I know my banners are shoddy at the moment. At first i planned to do something cool then went hey their just orcs but i see them and just want to do better. |

Nice army!
Although your movement trays are a bit to high for my liking. Looks a bit like the Orcs are playing in a sandbox. But perhaps some paint on these will help here ![]() Anyway, I like the purple color of the army. Always nice for an army to have a splash color to bind them all together. Grtz -EM- |

Thanks for the comments. yeah these were just temporaries for a tournament awhile ago. Keep meaning to get them sanded down to base high. i agree paint will help alot. working on 70 night goblins + a shaman, 6 wolf chariots ( from tomb kings chariots) 10 wolf riders and 2 spear chukkas as my next 750 points. shall look even cooler soon. But i dread the time it will take to churn out those gobbos. This post has been edited by Scruggin on Mar 29 2012, 05:41 AM |

Got the 70 night goblins and shaman done. will get photos of these up in the next day or two. Changed my mind on the rest of the list to add more orcs to my units, rounding the long choppas off to 40, and the choppas and shields to 30 models strong WAAGH! |

Welcome here
The doom diver is a pretty clever idea, I really like it ^^ The borders of the trays are a bit high for my tastes :S Looking forward for more models |

thanks! i painted this guy to test out the new paints. the yellow glaze really added some definition to the highlights and a cool shade on the red. would recommend the new reds as they worked really well together |
