Ahh, those were the days..... dayglow Eavy metal paint jobs...........
I used to have both the spear chukka AND the old small rock lobba, once took out a grey seer in first turn with the spear chukka.. great days.. My vote goes to the classic doom diver model Night Goblin Doom Diver that pic comes from Dakka Dakka. A damn sight easier to cart your warmachines around in the old days... I remember when these first came out and were advertised in WD, (NOW I feel old!!!) I like the current one but I've always felt it lacked "something" This post has been edited by Gruntfuttock on Feb 15 2012, 09:59 AM |

the current one (and the 4th eds) is technically flawed. It just cannot fire the stone (except perhaps straight up, or slightly backwards)
yes i know it is fantasy, but i still find a tad reality in models important. This post has been edited by BorkBork on Feb 15 2012, 12:27 PM |

Pivot to shoot? As I see it that thing can only shoot in 1 direction. |

My vote goes to Skullcrusher, although its only becaue you forgot Leadbelcher! All the old Machineries of Destruction had the best stories (written on the back of the box, along with the rules!) and the best models, so much character. Ive still got a full unassembled unpainted Leadbelcher kit (including all six crew) in original box, managed to pick it up off ebay for under $20 (a third of the cost of the current rock lobba) because it was mislabled, absolute score!

I didn't 'forget' the lead belcher I purposefully omitted it cuz it doesn't throw rocks. This post has been edited by Craze_b0i on Feb 18 2012, 07:40 PM |

Yes, some serious design issues on some of those! I always thought the 4th edition one looked like it would tip forward. I think I like the look of the marauder one best. I also really like the 6th edition dwarf stone thrower, if that's allowed! |

Hah, I have the orc crewman at the back. He came with another ebay purchase but I never knew his identity. He is shouting so loud his lower jaw looks like it has detatched itself, not a good look.
But I will add it to the front page. This post has been edited by Craze_b0i on Mar 9 2012, 12:07 PM |

I personally prefer the Marauder-machine, as well as the 4th. ed. one, which was actually the very first model I got, save for the Space Marine and Chaos Warrior in the paint-set...
