I needed a break from the Demons and I got given a bust recently so I used it for some size comparison and have come up with this so far.

You sculpted that? Looks all kinds of cool! What medium did you use? Is it Vin Diesel from Pitch Black? (I'm guessing - I have not seen the movie, but it looks familiar)

Hi,
Yeah its supposed to be Vin Deisel's Riddick from Pitch Black. The face is not quite right too round and chubby. I used aluminium foil to make an armature and save putty. Covered that in a thin layer of green stuff and then the sculpt itself is FIMO. I have a few details left to do and then I can bake him. Glad you like him. I plan on doing a couple more busts to get the hang of it and then maybe have a crack at a28mm figure. This post has been edited by Xam Dreadhowl on Feb 12 2012, 08:24 PM |

Hi
I've redone the ears as they were way too small. Also fixed up a couple of smudged areas and done a rush job of he strap . He's baked and needs a little final filling work and a wash before being ready for primer. But for all intents I'm calling him done warts and all. I have learned a heap from doing this and will take it forward into my next one and hopefully do a bit better job of the anatomy and get a litle closer to my concept than this time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And for size comparison ![]() |
