Hello, I've been here many moons ago and I thought it was time to get back as I've got back to playing greenskins.
I stopped playing greenskins in 7th edition as 7th ed rules and the 7th ed book totally nerfed my greenforce. but now its 8th edition rules, and I love 8th edition rules, its all about the units and not the characters so i've started rebasing my army as I used to paint the bases green (i've been paying since 4rd edition and it kinda was the standard back then)

During 7th ed. I played Dwafs and got hooked on Chaos Dwarfs (ravening hordes list) and the guys at Chaos dwarves online were very inspiring to get me started on a bit of sculpting and sharing your work online. So as my green blood is flowing again it is time to start posting here as I remember this being a very friendly community.

But enough talk, time for some pictures of my growing force.

most of the stuff I have is from about the 4rd and 5th edition, here a pic of freshly rebased Savage Orcs:

and some Black orcs:

and classic orcs painted to go with the Black orcs

This scratchbuld Rock Lobber I started working on back in th 6th edition, I never got to finish it and finally painted it up last year, so yes its way to big, bu no Ididnt do that for the ectra ling of sight in 8th edition....
user posted image
But yes this raised platform for my classic doomdiver I did make for the extra line of sight, the model actually is just high enough to look over other gobbos but at tournaments that always results in long discussions about yes or no, this lift avoids all that.

and this model I used to use as a Pumpwagon back in the days:

all the stuff i've posted so for is all old stuff and back then I only converted and buid from wood. But then someone gave me a bit of greenstuff and I started working with that...

So I started working with greenstuff. I thought I start simple so squigs were the first thing to try. I used some kind of collectable smielies as a base:

I had oodles of fun, but the all came out a bit to big, but it was a learning proces so all was fine.
user posted image
by now I was hooked on sculpting, the learing process is awesome and very addictive I strated to think on what was eazy to sculpt and build my own treekin.( I wont spoil a greenskin forum with pic of pansy woodelfs but here is a link if you are intrested.)
And I started some new squigs that had a better sise to fit 20mm bases:

of 3 mini squigs I likes I made a mold, I'm not good at mold making so al the casts came out missing bits and bobs but sculpting toes and such on 20+ squigs is less work than sculping 20+ squigs so after some time I hade this:

Ever played squigs in a horde formation? its freaking awesome!!! I always wanted that but the models are very expensive and I'm always on a butget, so sculpting them myself was the only option.

GW released the Mangler Squig, an awesome model, but way to picy for me.
So I got back at my firt attempt of to big squigs and made them into this:

More to come....

Now I've just started A campaign with some friend (using some edited version of the new rules) And I thought it would be cool to enter with Only gobbos.

The rules are like this:
3 armies 1500 points each
max 2 levels or boud spells
and max 40, 40 and 50 point of magic items on your armies and no doubles in your total force.

I made 3 lists, one full of my new squigs, one wih many wolfboys an chariots that all still need rebasing. and one with a big unit of troll that still needs painting.

So I need a Night gobbo hero on giant cave squig. (I prefer a Gobbo hero on giantic spider: light armour, spear and enchanted shield. 84 points for as very tough gobbo hero that has been my man of the match in many games). So there is now way i'm buying the Giant squig, back to green stuff. here is the firts pic:
user posted image

I also need markers for my army and my main city in the campaign.
Here are mine all paintes up:

And as my trolls were still unpainted I used the treekin I made for my woodelfs as proxies. Bus as I use a lot of classic forest gobbos as night goblins those treekin looked very nice along side them.
so I plan to make some tree trolls to put in the unit to give them that extra bit of gobbo feel. 2 are finished, one more to go.

Oh and I'm working on a flying squig to replace the doomdiver in my al squigh list:

Thats it for now, I really need to make some pic of my complete armies and units...

(Oh and for the people that have been on this forum for years an might remember me, I was the guy that was also drawing those violent bunnies called Bunbun (website with comics and more.))

Your sculpted stuff is so surreal that fits perfectly the night goblin theme wink.gif I love the trolls, they're so characterful ^^
Your army has a classic/vintage feeling in it, and I really appreciate this thing wink.gif

Wow your squigs are adorable. Of curiosity How did you sculpt them? Is it just GW greenstuff? And what did you use for the molds?

Liking the rest of your army as well, all the old skool minis. Your Ruglud Orcs look like football fans.

@Thitanium Prince:
Thanx. I do try to keep that classic theme going, I love those old models. I do love the new stuff as well but as i've started playing in 4rd i love to keep that line up.

@Craze_b0i:
No not GW greenstuff, thats expensive and often if you buy it, it has been in the blister for ages so the quality is less than it should. I buy from my local game store and I think ist this one: user posted image

or something like it.

The molds I made using 2 component mold stuff. this is the youtube video that got me curious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFfXT_Cjpuk...70EA1DAD6DBF767 I googled an found a store in the Netherlands that sold something similar and worked with that. (its pricey, and ik is messy and it takes a lot of time. but once you field you very own unit its all worth it.)

Some cool sculpts and excellent conversions, particularly the rock lobba.
What I like most however, is the Savage orc BSB. Quality model.

@amplebob thanx, you gotta love those Ogre banners, they are awesome for all your BSB conversion needs.

We are using a 2nd hand map from our game store, so some markers are missing.
I suggested we all make the stuff we need.

So I made 2 fortresses, one with attached city.

I have no clue what they do in the campaign so I will just try to build all of them.

Oh and I finished the squigdiver, quite happy with the result, i want to make another one in a more dynamic pose.

I really like your red and white and the red and yellow colour schemes. The classic Black Orcs in particular look great. The squig diver is very funny. smile.gif

I like all those old models and the small and clever conversions you did on them, particularly the savage orc standard bearer.

Your squigs are funny too
