I wanted to comment on using bases for pedestals. But this ays it all really. Remember, modelling people know what bases look like, so anything you want to look like a statue you should try and get a different base. If you look around you can find them easily and cheap. Like the cap of a tube of toothbrush for example. Very nice for a pedestal. But notheless, a very great piece of terrain. Great atmosphere to it. Nice flocking and painting variations on there (which make a great piece IMO). Grtz -EM- |

Yeah maybe a pedestal would make them look more statue like, I can envisage that now...

Thanks for the comments guys, I am going to experiment with different pedestals, I appreciate the advice. I got a lot of good comments on flocking, so if anyone;s interested, this flock is home made, and I will make a tutorial for my Youtube channel.
update on the thread coming soon, thanks all! Milos |

Another commission, a dwarf army display board, started out as a concept art:

Okay guys it's time for an update, I have been very busy and atop of that, some personal issues swamped me down so I really haven't had the time to make proper update.
In the meantime, my studio is making a real progress, lots of commissions are finished and in the next couple of days I'll post what we completed so far. So let's start with some display boards: first of all, here is a giant High Elf display board ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by dreamspirit on May 14 2012, 07:16 AM |

And here is another waterfall and sacred ground.
As for the Sacred Ground, I want to expand this terrain into full circle for the use in warmachine. The space between the standing stones would be wide enough to allow movement of 50 mm bases, so that you can use it in battles for more than just a nice decor ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by dreamspirit on May 14 2012, 07:20 AM |

thanks for the comments, I appreciate it very much
now two months ago we got our largest commission so far, for the new gaming store GameShire. They are located in Everett, and we basically got a commission for 5 gaming boards with terrain. First board that we built is Chaos wasteland, and these are only couple of pictures the rest you can find on my blog. Enjoy! ![]() ![]() |

Very nice stuff Milos!
I actually plan on placing an order within long, unless I learn how to handle styrofoam, and find the time to do so (I'll much rather paint minis ). I'll get in touch if that is the case! |
