Nah, i know some people like them, but man I just think they look terrible. Look at the kitbashed giant or the abomin... I mean Jabbaslythe. It's more a great unclean one than a jabbaslythe...

Okay i admit Heavy metal paintjobs and pics might not work in their favor, but still... Damn I'm glad that i decided to do greenskins instead laugh.gif

You've better have made some damn cool mangler squigs GW!!!!

really?

I mean, I don't think they're razorgors, but it would really require some good greenstuff and great painting to make those look like beasts IMO.

Compared to the monsters for the 8th ed. releases they're not very good.

I don't render them useless though!

I think the Ghorgon needs more skulls ninja.gif ....

Seriously though, I dislike these a lot. The Jabbathingy is the best of the bunch and might be OK, depending on what detail is hidding behind the glare on the photo but the Ghogon and Cygor just look like the Giant with a head swap (and I don't much care for the oringinal Giant to be honest despite having bought and painted one).

The Beastmen figures are such a mixed bag. The Ungor, Gor and Bestigor are all fantastic figures, whilst the Minotaurs and Razagor and shockingly bad. These three (Jabbaslythe possibly excused) are all firmly in the latter category. Vomit.gif

Like I said in the other topic I think the Jabberslythe is charming and I will get one for SoM at some point I think. In the same vein of insanity as El Pollo Diablo (which I have and love).

Jabber's wings don't look like they would actually allow him to fly... laugh.gif

Ghorgon's pretty cool, the Cygor looks like the worst giant model (the cycloptic on with the rock - from the giants of albion set?)

The jabberslythe inset looks cool, but does make me thing great unclean one meets Hellbomb.

about time they're releasing these.

Call me a heathen, but I absolutely love the look of all three of those models, but I really dislike the Mangler Squig model...

Can't wait till the sprue pics turn up - I'm really interested to see what bitz I could cannibalize for my 40K Chaos forces tongue.gif

I, too, prefer these models to the Mangler.
I'll have to resist the urge to add these to my beastmen army, which is still unopened and unpainted for over a year now.

I actually like the minataur models and I even like that Ghargon. The other one is okay but nothing special in my opinion.

Im with you Goofs, I dont mind these models. Jabberslythe would make an awesome Nurgle dragon.

Cygor: Awesome!
Ghorgon: Head is weird, but I think there are more options.
Jabberslythe: BWAHAHahahahahaha... laugh.gif Face is ugly, body is ugly, wings are ugly. I think it's a good ugly though. Doesn't look like a new model though, more like something from way back in 4th edition re-released.

Overall I'm positive. Would actually like to get one of each for SoM one day... smile.gif (Wish I had that kinda hobby money, lol. I need to get my study support FAST.)

darn it. I have to admit that the jabbaslythe is a an okay model. It's not anything spectacular, but it's far better than i initially thought.

I still dislike the cygor/Ghorgon set though. the paintjob is awful, but it's still not nearly beasty enough for my liking.
