Hello folks! Orcs have been my second army (back in years 2001-2003), but now, after the release of a new book I really feel like starting an all-ork O&G army.
Since I'm in love with savage orcs, I started my own savage orc warboss. This guy is HUGE, being just a bit shorter than an ogre, as broad as ogre in shoulder, but much skinnier otherwise. Now I'm planning to make a kit, with two choppas, and a shield option. So, whatcha think? ![]() By ganzknapp at 2011-03-25 |

Yep, that's grey stuff as a base and green stuff for details.
Now let's talk on armor. That's a good question. Of course, armor is something what orcs, especially savage orcs, lack. But I thought that any successfull savage warboss would definitely get some fancy iron plates. So he MUST have some steel. As a shoulder pads he's going to get two huge sculls of unknown creatures, and a pelt with strapped teeth (like on the new armybook cover) on his back. |

Savage orcs warbosses refuse to wear mundane armour but they do wear magic armour. |

Savage Warbosses have the option for mundane light armour in 7th, do they in 8th?
![]() He's awesome! Any chance of you casting him in something else than metal? ![]() Theo |

It's going to be resin, or nothing. I don't have anyone amongst people I know who can make a descent metal cast, so a resin casts. The same as Forgeworld uses.

Rock is very hard to sculpt though dude, the trick is to get it to look about the right shape then let it set and cut flat lines and jagged edges into it with a hobby knife once its solid. Love it dude, skulls have always been a hard one for me and the beard looks tops. Based on that Id love to see you make a Chaos Dwarf at some point! Love your Nurgle Bray Shaman too btw, my only beef with him is the leg posing - legs perfectly side by side is a tad 5th-ed for me. Keep up the great work though! Arfa da Grate |
