Here's a little update. I found some sand, so I've based the Trolls, the chariot and a couple of other models. I've also managed to acquire dullcoat spray, so I am in the testing stages on that one (thanks for the tip!). I think I did fairly well with the old Stone Troll:

Better?

I'll put up pictures of a few more based and dullcoated models when they are dry.

More updates:

I've dullcoated these guys, and made a new base for Grumlok & Gazbag. I only use that model until I've made another warboss that I will be working on pretty soon.

I forgot to photograph my too-small black orc unit and my shaman the first time I posted, so here they are:

I'm working on getting the other 10 black orcs painted, and my BSB is starting to get into shape. I have also done some work on the Rock Lobber, but I'll have to wait until it dries to take pictures.

Edit: and here it is!

Thanks! I made most of the rock lobber many years ago, but I redid much after I took up the hobby again. Super Gob is made to be a Doom Diver, but I haven't built the DD Catapult yet. I've thought about using him as a goblin warboss with a flying carpet and other suitable items. tongue.gif

Thanks Bork!
I still haven't figured out how to base him. I think I might base him the same way I'll base the Doom Diver Catapult, when I ever get that one built, so he can be placed in front of the launch mechanism.

By the way, I'm almost done with my battle standard bearer on a boar. Almost is very relative, because the banner itself is what's left...

"Only the banner left..." Well, three weeks later I'm done. (I had an appointment with some pointy eared old friends in the meantime, but they are the green kind, so I hope that's okay).

Unfortunately I also assembled this guy last week. Just two days or so before the whole Boss competition was mentioned... The good part is that I hope I'll be able to do even better next time. yarr.gif

The bsb bearer looks impressive. And i just noticed the skull on the banner looks like axl rose

Yeah, mold lines... I can't believe I didn't see the one on the pants before I saw the picture. I have removed that one already, but i have to do a closer inspection on him soon.

I hadn't thought about Axl Rose when I made the banner, but I don't like him much so that suits me fine! biggrin.gif

Thanks guys! I'll do my best with the competition model (which I have to make after these comments)!

Well, my level of conversions vary greatly, but as long as I don't have to do any complicated greenstuff work I might be ok. I am very unsure if a future conversion can rival this one, though, since this was my best idea in a very long time. But I'll do my best, nonetheless. If I get the time.

I hope to be able to send in a most-parts-compiled-in-a-heap-wip-photo this weekend, but I won't make promises. smile.gif
