Before I start with the photos, i think that I should explain a couple of things about me.
I started gaming in about 88 and has only recently come back into the hobby after a break of about 10 years. Many years ago I worked in GW store and I was taught how to paint by a Golden Demon winner. Old age means that I have since forgotten most of those lessons. I think I prefer the old paints and inks, things were better in my day and I have a 6 year old snotling who is desperate to be an orc when he grows up. Anyway photos. Black Orcs - these were the first things I painted after 10 or so years
![]() Herder + Squigs ![]() ![]() ![]() Snotlings - These are a bit rough, but I was trying out some different drybrushing and washing techniques ![]() Trolls - Used orc hands on the blue one to make him a little different. |

Spear chukkas - These crew were painted using a number of techniques as tried to remember how to paint again. The Orc top left was painted with green washes over yellow skin. The left goblins were painted with goblin green, drybrushed with goblin green/white and then washed with badab black. The right two were painted with my now preferred method. Goblin green base. Watered down black wash. Highlight with goblin green then goblin green/bleached bone.

I like them. Good, consistant scheme, nice colors. my only criticism would be the flocked bases, but thats only because i have an aversion to them

It seems you do indeed have a large army, blue and green go so well together, I'm looking forward to seeing this army take shape.
