I thought about this idea when I watched the first WAR trailer (the one where the black orc big boss and the dwarf slayer fight), as the orc that gets owned at the start would've been far more useful with torches!
Orc torch boyz- 12pts m-4 ws-3 bs-3 s-5 t-3 w-1 a-2(1) i-2 ld-7 (boss get +1 ws and attack) weapons and armour-light armour and two torches (hand weapons) may upgrade an orc to a standard bearer for 12pts may upgrade an orc to a flame beater (musician) -6pts may upgrade an orc to a flamegit (boss)-12pts special rules: flaming attacks, animosity, hurl torches the reason that I made their toughness lower than normal orcs is to balance out their other attacks, and the fact they can fling their torches at enemies once per game, but lose the second attack on their profile. I also made this unit to deal with scary stuff, for instance treemen, treekins, trolls, and ogre butchers. Also, you'd think with an army that is dedicated to raiding, that you'd see a couple of loonies hefting torches |

T3 Orcs just don't seem right to me but I like the concept of what you're trying to do. I've always hoped they'd add a flaming arrows option to our archers. A unit of Night Goblins shooting flaming arrows would be extremely funny and pretty useful against some gribbly things too.

it would- but more than that I would love to see normal gobbos being able to do more than throw harsh language in the shooting phase |
