Hill Goblins are tougher and bigger then your average goblin. GW made some unofficial rules on them a while back. To model them you use goblin legs & heads and use orc torsos & arms. The unofficial rules game them toughness 4 and immune to goblin panic, from what I remember.

hill goblin rules (and maybe some fluff) are available in one of the 'warhammer chronicles' supplements. cant remember the year, but it's the one with Archaon on the cover.

Forces of Fantasy (1st ed. WFB, 1984) had rules for Great Goblins, Lesser Goblins, Night Goblins, Red Goblins and Hobgoblins. I just checked (I have a time machine). But I guess this is no help to you at all.
BUT .. the T&G (Warhammer Empire forum) summer campaign Greenskin Raiders' list has a load of house rules on Hill Goblins. And I like them. I've been busy making some of my own (see elsewhere in this forum, the usual place). This post has been edited by OrcPadre on May 22 2010, 12:23 PM |

I would like to do what you & Hobgoblin are doing, flesh out an Old or abandond area of the greenskin army for basement hammer. I have been following what you were posting, but havn't tried any of the units (yet) Any infor you can give would be appreciated. The lord of all Beer |

check this out:
goblin breeds and fluff if you don't care about other breeds, here's the qouted stuff from hill goblins: "South of the Empire, across the shores of Tilea and the Border Princes, lays a barren plain of hills and grasslands at the very edge of the Badlands. It is in this deserted region where the largest Goblins can be found. Generally reckoned as Hill Goblins, but also known as Great Goblins, these Goblinoids are larger then ordinary Goblins, more aggressive and as strong as Ores. The skin tone of a Hill Goblin is much darker than that of a common Goblin, with some shades even resembling that of a Black Ore's hide. Being much more brutally ambitious than the average Goblin, Hill Goblins enjoy fighting almost as much as Ores do and will occasionally sell their services as mercenaries to armies that will put up with them. Wrestling and brawling are favoured leisure activities for these hulking Goblins and they enjoy nothing more then bullying around their smaller Goblinoid cousins." Does anyone have the fluff concerning Red Goblins? are they Chaos Goblins or just Goblins with really bad sunburns?
Thanks in advance: Chaos Ork! |

Reviving threads like this is frowned upon- it would have been better if you opened a separate thread.
![]() But there's very little fluff on snotlings, because there's really not that much to them. They're green little gits that run around orc camps and steal stuff. ![]() Theo |

Glad you like it. I wrote that back in 6th edition and have been meaning to do an 8th edition version. |
