When you release fanatics when your being charged and all 3 fantatics are at differance distances (for this example, 7", 5". 2")
Do you have them finish the charge and then roll your 6D6 hits? or do you have them slowly move into 1st fanatic and do 2D6 hits and rolls wounds, check for for panic test if needed and continue to the next fanatic and repeat? At my LGC, I been just moving the charge completely, then then doing the 6D6. Its faster, Sometimes its hard to get them to stop 8" away, not to mention to have them move slow forward. |

One at a time, because a failed panic check means they may flee before they reach the other ones. Or die off completely.

Yep, you take them one at a time.
(Wich is both good and bad, because fanatics can end up obstructing your own units.)Theo |

Slightly off topic, because its not 100% clear, but when a fanatic is released can I roll the distance before placing it out of the unit?
Scenario : I am marching at someone just to release the fanatics. The are up and to my right. To my left is a friendly unit and down to my right only say 4 inches away is dangerous terrain. So my first fanatic I release rolls 8 inches and all is well. My 2nd one rolls only 4 and I choose at that point just to jam him into the terrain so that hes not gonna be a problem, is this acceptable? |

Not sure what the official ruling would be, but I've always played it as
- Pick direction for Fanatic 1 - Roll distance for Fanatic 1 - Pick direction for Fanatic 2 - Roll distance for Fanatic 2 |

It is 100% clear. Release the fanatics! states that when released fanatics move 2D6" using the rules for random movement. Random movement states you pivot to face the direction of movement before you roll the distance. So I'm afraid you've been playing it wrong. |

As carpet says, you declare the direction and point the fanatic starts from before you roll.

Rereading my post I sound like a right git. I blame lack of coffee.
And, you know, greenskins and that. |
