So I enjoy painting. I spend lots of my precious time painting. The only problem is that my completed minis just spend most of their life out of sight, stuck in a box – this is not good!

I don’t know many people who are into this hobby and I do not attend any clubs (I really should!), so I thought about this forum and all the amazing things I’ve seen. Yes, I thought, I will begin a plog.

I have recently started a green skin army and I will post pictures of my completed minis. Any comments or criticisms are always welcome.

Despite loving themed armies (mainly for the look of the army on the battlefield), I can never bring myself do one since I always seem to want to paint a bit of everything. So this army is being put together based on what I like the look of best – I don’t like to plan an army, that’s boring!

With limited time on my hands these days, I have decided to paint this army with a compromise between speed and quality. I have never actually completed an army – this time it will happen!

First up, are my Night Goblins, I have 40 completed, with the intention for this to be a 60 man unit. Motivation for painting that many minis is hard to find so I plan to put together a unit filler for the remaining 20 (I am still working out how to take the best photos for this).

Now time for the mushroom eating, ball whirling, crazy goblins of carnage. These guys are great – I do not have enough, but what I do have is shown below.

Now Night goblins are no good without a few characters to support them, so below you can see a Night Goblin Big Boss and Battle Standard (Skarsnik has been demoted to carrying a flag!).

Thanks! I have more painted, the rest will come soon!

Very nice, although the picture quality could be improved... I like the Skarsnik conversion!

I agree with what's been said above. Pics are kinda washed out, makes it hard to see the colors properly.

And Skarsnik makes a fantastic BSB! The pose just FITS. Kudos to you.

As this is your first post since signing up, welcome to da warpath.
Nice work on the goblins, they do look like they would glow in the dark.

Outstanding! It's a crime to keep such models hidden away in boxes. You get out there and play some games right now!

Love the Skarsnik BSB.

I don't know how long they're taking you to do but if that's your compromise between speed and quality then you're on to a winner as the goblins look fantastic. As other's have said the photos are petty washed out but you can see the quality of the painting regardless

Hope you can keep it up; don't get distracted by any of those other lesser' armies.

Thanks for all the comments! I did have trouble with the photos, I will make sure they come out better when I post the rest.

I've never thought about them looking like they glow in the dark - I like it!

@Craze_b0i - It's a chaos warrior banner with a few tweaks.

@Mostyn - Well my speed/quality compromise is to use no more than three shades of colour for highlighting and not worrying too much about the neatness of my brush strokes - I've got bogged down by this in the past!

Cheers
