Love your resolutions, man! Good luck with them! biggrin.gif

You keep on inspiring me, and in that spirit I will up my cardio exercises from tomorrow.

Currently I am almost broke (stops me from eating more and other things than I should), working out at heavy weight lifting (I do pull-ups now!) and look forward to two days with six and three hours of Taekwon-Do sparring practice in three weeks (which is why I want to up my cardio beforehand...).

91 kgs now. Down maybe 4 from Christmas. Not too bad, with almost exclusively strength training since then.

Edit: Join Fitocracy! I, Borzag, Goofycabal and others are there. Get points for your activities. Level up. It also serves a purpose as a training log, if you want that. There's not so much activity at the moment, but we greenskins work best in hordes. Join the Waaagh!!!

Gork speed!

Edit: and I finally joined you on Fitocracy. I use another site which is much better for tracking my runs, so I don't know if I can keep up the double book keeping. Fitocracy does have leveling up, achievements and Warpathers though, so there is some appeal.

Thanks smile.gif should be fun. I've started incorporating a longer, more hilly route into my runs to train, with a few sprints thrown in for good measure.

Personally for my runs I use MapMyRun, but I do a *lot* of weights work too, so the double-bookkeeping is usually kept to a minimum. Well not as big a minimum. It's certainly handy at any rate.

Well, I already get everything I need/want out of my regular site (www.jogg.se) -- community, map functions, statistics, race calendar and a lot more options for tracking my exercises. It's not available in English though so completely useless to most of you.

I'm running the half marathon in May just like you Borzag and if all goes well a full marathon in October. At this point I'm not in very good shape and need to get used to high mileage weeks again.

Right, so I wandered into the University Gym on Friday last week and signed up to a sweet deal: 365 days for $375 biggrin.gif

Of course, so far, I've only been there 1 day this week...

But I did bring a situp board with me to my new flat, so I did that today instead tongue.gif

And since I haven't done any exercise for 2 months, I'm really feeling the burn >_<

Extended Christmas holiday? tongue.gif

I've gotten a good start on the new year with a lot of weight lifting. Then I barely got started doing cardio exercises before getting a lingering cold. Much like I had for a month, two times, this fall. I've still managed to keep up some weight lifting but my cardio is suffering.

Heh. tongue.gif

I've drunk ale only three times since New Years, and only one of them turned out to become a party. Incidentally I've had the cold since that party... Censored.gif

Anyway, how are you doing Kera? Still working out, or has the Pirate Queen settled as a proper housewife? biggrin.gif

WOW, long time since replies guys smile.gif

NEWS!

The first one is more of a general one: I'm now 30kg (66lb or 4.7 stone for the weird Imperials) lighter biggrin.gif well just over but semantics.

The very very specific one: you know how I said that I was training for a half marathon in May?

I ran that today biggrin.gif

The map & track info (cribbed off MapMyRun, which was in turn cribbed off my watch)

Nice work Borzag! 1:48 is a great time for a first HM, way faster than I was the first time (2:06 IIRC).

I also ran my annual HM yesterday, together with some 64,000 others in Göteborgsvarvet Half Marathon. Conditions were pretty bad as we had a change in weather the last few days so none of us locals were used to the heat.

I knew I wasn't in shape to reach my long term goal of 1:30 or even my 1:34 PB so I just set out to have a pleasant run and ended up with 1:41, which I'm pretty happy with. Because of the weather conditions I got a much better place with that, around 2500, than I did last year with 1:34 (3200ish).

Not quite sure what to aim for next, either a full marathon or another half in October.
