Okay it's an idea that was discussed a while before. However since the bi-monthly conversion contests are not presently running I thought now might be the good time to make it happen.
The premise is simple: there would be a voting thread for people to vote for their favourite minitures in Da Gallery. There would be a seperate vote for each unit/category. My suggestion is that we could vote on one category each week. Each vote would be open for approx 7 days before crowning the winner. In categories with 10 or more units/characters to pick from then each person would get 3 votes. If this idea is a goer I would be willing to post the thread & count the votes etc... If it encourages more people to look in the Gallery and add more photos to it then I'm all for it!

The idea in itself is pretty good, but in one week you're not lickely to get much new pictures.
Perhaps do one category each month and announce it a month in advance (giving people a month time to add their pics to the gallery filling it up a bit better and then one week voting for the winner). Grtz -EM- |

Nice idea!
This will encourage people to give their best and share their finished miniatures. I also think that once per months seems likely to work best than once overy week. |

I like this idea. It'll encourage people, including me, to post up pictures in the gallery as well as their blog. The competitions will motivate people to make good looking stuff.

Maybe once per 2 weeks? There are after all a lot of categories, 35 topics to be precise. Though if people want just 1 per month that is fine.

Just to add... the next award (possibly in 2 weeks) will be for orc warboss/big-boss, so if anoyne has one painted up now is the time to ad him to Da Gallery.
