Only problem I can see with this is that O&G dont use the winds of magic to cast our spells, unlike all the other races. Instead we use the pure psychic ability that occurs naturally in greenskins and their connections with the gods they worship, more like empire prayers than elven magic if you get me. If we were going to change our magic at all I would suggest going butcher-ish, not to the point of bound spells at all, but more to the point of having our casters kind've tougher (at least for Orcs) but our spells directly damaging us if we want to try and cast them.

Or just leave it as it is, I like it now tongue.gif

You may think this item as Azhag's Crown.

Imagine: A shaman pillages a demonic item in a victory against deamons. This item is bounded by deamon. So shaman uses deamon to cast spell, as he doesnt know exactly how it is happening.

Btw; no one commented on my idea for a Commitee to elect wish list?

I'm not opposed to it. The mods can hash it out if enough people want to see it. The problem is, we may end up with plenty of votes going both ways (see the skirmisher / scouting debate) unless we just put someone in charge of gathering the best bits.

Thats what I am saying. A Commitee that is consisted of veteran players and mods can vote and eliminate some of them, choose and/or edit.

Just a thought, over at WE they have a forum for this. Might be a bit much here, but we could always have a Characters, Core, Special and Rare thread to keep the discussion organized. Depends if everyone's already spilled their ideas though.

Well, I play warhammer for 5 years. If it is ok for you, I can volunteer for Commitee member too. But first of all, shouldnt be a Commitee Leader?

This should be chosen amongst people who has an experience of such organizations. I see lots of projects here; DWQ, animoisty campaign. Besides, he has to have access to forum admin. So he has to be one of the mods.

But some suggestions should be eliminated.

Should we include a new unit as "terror causing Savage Black Orc Big Uns" to list? Absolutely not!

Thats what the Committee will be for; eliminating ridiculous ones, edit if needed, consolidate similiar ones.

Hey all! Ive been reading up on this site and Warseer for sometime now and just signed up for Da Warpath yesterday. I really hope that you guys can get this committee going and something positive could come of it! Im glad to find a group of people who think the same as me about this subject!

I know its a little off topic, with the talk being about establishing a committee and all, but i thought Id like to throw out some ideas, most of which have already been discussed:

1)Rolls for animosity should be made after charges have been declared. Orcs only try to pick fights with each other when theres no 'umies around to smash!! I cant quote it exactly but i remember reading "and if orcs have no enemies to fight, they will gladly fight with each other!" laugh.gif

2)I don't really see a problem with crossbows to be honest. Not only would I probably take them every game (I just cant bring myself to use up a special slot for crossbow orcs with old animosity rules), I think that orcs, while obviously being unable to articulate themselves that well, are not THAT stupid. All you have to ladz, is put the bolt in this little groove right here, then pull this string thingy behind the bolt and around this little metal thing. Point and click. Repeat. yarr.gif

3)Animosity should also affect units only over a model strength of 10 like mentioned earlier. If the units are that small, there wouldnt be places for the troublemakers to hide in the ranks.

4)Black Orcs: Immune to psychology I think is fair for the mightiest warriors the greenskins can produce, and as it stands , pretty much any other elite from any other army slaps these guys around (even though I still love them and always take a unit of them). and Yeesh! 14 points! I think a simple banner for 50 points, to allow the unit to re-roll misses in CC (Bashin' Banner or something like that), or the old banner that made missiles -1 to hit them, or even buy a magic banner to make the orcs stubborn or something. And the ability to equip BOs however you want to reduce costs (drop the Armed to da teef rule) and I think these guys would stand a chance vs other elites.

5)Yes, the magic equipment is a bit sad... more creativity in the armor and arcane items, maybe bring some of the old stuff back, as has been mentioned.

6)I always thought that orcs would love burning stuff. I just have a feeling. And fire isnt that complicated. smile.gif

7)In the WAAAGH (!!!!!) move, I think this could be fixed a bit to make it actually usefulish. I agree with the earlier post that the WAAAGH means its time to go fight the enemy! Squabbles should be ignored, or at least mean the unit HAS to charge or something. Also, the whole army should be immune to psychology the turn the WAAAGH is called.

8)I agree that some sort of bonus to a particular general leading an army should have some sort of advantage (gobbo generals giving a 50 point banner to one gobbo unit, this would be incredibly useful!) The empire has it, why not us?

9)In another forum, bbihah came up with the idea of when the general dies, the closest Big boss (or warboss in bigger games) becomes the general for purposes of other units using his leadership, while not awarding any further VPs for killing these "secondary generals. As mentioned before, this fits the fluff well (remember the entry of Nagrats still twitching arm that was used by his second in command to beat down a dwarf king... LOL) and gives greenskins some sort of leadership bonus that they desperately need.

10)I think that overall, tweaking a few of the rules or the addition of some rules already in place in the rulebook are what might be necessary, rather than inventing whole other sections that have never existed. Im not trying to bash, but i think that a super killy chariot just because a hero rides in it doesnt really roll well with me (no pun intended). I know pretty much all the stuff ive listed will make orcs and goblins much more powerful than they currently are, but not Cheesey hard by any means. They will be harder to push around, but still very much beatable.

i was thinking that orcs should have some large beast that they could ride. I dont mean a monster for the heroes but rather a creature with a whole bunch of orcs or goblins on top of it, much in the fashion of the Marauder War Mammoth, the Lizardmen Stegadon or the Ork Squigoth from wh40k (or the war tortoise that's somewhere on this forum).

i didnt read too carefully through the entire thread so sry if this has already been proposed.
