QUOTE (Anton @ Jun 8 2016, 02:04 PM)
My next mini-project will be to paint up the Silver Tower set. I'm taking it slow at the moment though after the months of intense painting leading up to the Eight Peaks game.

After that we will probably have decided on what next year's big game will be and I might be playing greenskins again, but more of a mixed force with Orc leadership. That would mean painting up some of the new models.

At some point I'll also have to paint the 300 Night Goblins I still have for Skarsnik's army.

Quoting myself since Chris asked the same question again. smile.gif

Thank you all for your kind words.

Spectacular looking game mate! The juice was definitely worth the squeeze!

I can sympathize with Rocky, one of my Idols decimated an entire unit of Black Orcs when he charged them after rallying deep behind my lines. Good fun at the time but it would have been truly costly if we weren't playing such a huge game!

Again, nice work mate, fun was had by all!

Cheers!

Time to add my competition entry to the paintlog.

This is the lobba I entered -- obviously my favourite. The motley crew is made up of Night Goblins, Gnoblars, Grots, Snotlings and an old crewman from the classic Lead Belcher goblin war machine.

The machine itself is mostly built from the Warp Lightning Cannon kit with all the wires, tubes and Skaven symbols removed. The counterweight is from the Giant kit and the mechanism has parts from the OK Scraplauncher and various hooks and chains, mostly from the OK line.

Of course, as this is Skarsnik's grand army I didn't make just one, I made a battery of three.

These are great and I voted for them, but they don't appear to have much in the way of cross bracing and lateral support... Maybe if they are dig into the ground they wouldn't need it.

I especially like the crew, good work!

Thanks!

@Chris: Maybe that was why they collapsed like so many houses of cards when my Skaven "ally" rung his bell? smile.gif

Great looking Rock lobbas you have there. And extremely impressive that you produced 3 of those + more during the competition period and still managed to win the conversion competition with just one of them.

Great work as always, love the painting style! If your army gets any bigger you may need a 9th peak to fit them all on! smile.gif
