I thought I'd create a place where we can share our in-game experiences with members of the community. Every game I learn something new, and I'd be interested in reading other peoples' thoughts. smile.gif Here're my experiences from the game I just came home from playing:

Dear diary

Today I got massacred again. I think quite a large part of it was bad luck, as all my 4 warmachines misfired in round 1 (Both the doomdivers exploded). My poison-goblins squabbled, so my shooting phase was completely nullified. In the magic phase I just failed casting Foot of Gork by 1. Not a great turn overall. laugh.gif

Things I learned:

*A horde of Goblins with 5+ poison do really well in combat. However, not well enough to out-grind a horde of orc boyz without first softening them up with shooting.

*A MMU style list is quite flexible and gives you lots of options.

*It is difficult to make the best out of those options without first thinning down the enemy's larger units.

*Sometimes the dice will just shaft you. This is okay, and you're totally entitled to moan about it.

*'Ere we Go! is a really good spell. Not quite good enough to turn my horrible luck, but nearly.

What did you learn today?

Things I've learnt today:

If I play too much frisbee I will dream about it.

If I play too much frisbee and Battlefield 3, I will dream about knifing dog tags from frisbee player's backs.

I have improved as a player!

I like my Vitamin C tablets.

I learnt how to make a publish a Facebook ad.

I can run up my hill without getting too tired!

The beach is nice in the morning.

That stretches make me feel awesome.

That if I get up super early I can accomplish a lot!

When walking silently, my foot turns outwards.

I have super short hamstrings.

Face paint takes exactly 5 washes with cold water and soap to come off.

Sometimes the couch is better than a bed!

Mascara does smudge as much as I thought it would...

My cat is stealthy!

I rely on what people think and say about me far too much...

And that I'm not too sure how to change that.

That I've matured a bunch!

And I have learnt that I have learnt a lot of things today already!

AND IT'S ONLY 8AM! biggrin.gif

*RAINBOWS*

*Runs off to discover what new wonders await in the day...*

I know that feeling- or more accurately, the opposite. When I wake up after 9 I just...waste half the day trying to wake up properly. Today I woke up at 11. I've done nothing today. laugh.gif

Well, these are things I've reflected from my one day event on Saturday.

-It's OK to 6 dice some spells (Foot of Gork, Hand of Gork, or Curse of the Bad Moon) and not feel dirty.

-IF you screw up bad in deployment, you need Hand of Gork or Foot of Gork to fix things. If not, you are screwed.

-Orc Characters, including cheap guys with Great Weapons, can chew through Demi-Griffon cavalry.

-A Goblin Wolf Hero can kill a lot on his own, especially missile troops in the flank!

-Archnaroks can't kill steam tanks, unless you get really luck with poison stinger. If it does happen once, you are lucky. Don't try it again.

-Curse of the Bad Moon is a good spell, even if used in the non-boosted version.

-Use fast cav, fanatics, terrain, and Curse of the Bad Moon to stop them on one flank as you rush them on the other.

-If the enemy has Mindrazor, any unit can kick your butt.

-Smoke machines on your display board get you Player's Choice paint awards biggrin.gif
