So I'm making some squig herds, but it's impossible to line them up >.<. Others must have run into this before (and made topics about it, but I can't find them :/). So how do you guys solve this problem?
Thanks! |

I use both diagonal and horizontal bases. I've also used a number of the old 40k squigs which are smaller and help with the ranking.
You may find that removing them from the tab and pinning them on the base will help. |

Well, I'm making a 165-strong squig herd, so I'm well aware of this problem xD The first advice is, like Xellpher said, remove the tabs on the badly posed squig, so you can turn them as you need. You also can put the long ones (there are actually two longer squigs, one is the one with the scales and the other is the one with the high spine) on a 20x40 base. I use some of the old 5th edition squigs, they're just a bit smaller, so I can alternate them well.
The herder with the long weapons can be turned on the sides (but it looks really weird) or can be put on a double base. Squigs are really dishorganized, so you can play around with strange poses and little unit fillers |

Another tip. The herder with the long prodder you can clip the front foot off the tab so it is raised in the air, this makes it look like he is stepping forward but more importantly it raises his weapon upwards.

I stuck a bit of slate under that herder to angle his prodder upward. Everyone deals with this guy in a different way I guess.
![]() Good advice in this thread! I've only finished one blister (9 to go? geeze) but have been wondering this myself. I thought I'd probably get some mileage out of a few 'spacer' bases, just a 20x20 with sand and flock and maybe some dressing from one of the resin kits. Could be especially useful behind those squigs whose tails stick too far behind them. I think placing them diagonally and futzing with the heights a bit is the best way of course. |
