Got the skin done on the savage orcs, finally. I really need to get going on these guys, I have just gotten so bored with them.

Nice models mousekiller. I'd like to see some bigger pics of the warboss though. Or perhaps slap some paint on him to make him more visible.
Looks like a great conversion, but I just can't see any of it. Grtz -EM- |

NIce painting there I really like the boss conversion with the plastic warboss head, I always sorta liked the way that head looking, very nice on that model, my only crit. is the spears, talk about Leopolds Leopards POSERS, not really liking the extended length, but they do look nice painted

Added a little color to the bosses skin... I think I will end up going a little bit lighter with it though, maybe add in some flesh color. The axe is in the beginning stages, but the idea is that it is going to be instilled with some sort of magic, maybe call it "Soul Eater" or something.
19 Apr 15 Apr Angelos: Yeah, I thought the same thing. If you notice, about half of 'em have shorter spears and the other half have really long ones... did the long ones first and realized they were too long. Figured I could go back and redo them, but since I still have 10 more on top of these 8 to do, I am hoping they get lost in the crowd. Warlord: Pointwise, moneywise... Entertainme: Paint slapped... seriously, I will try to get some bigger pics on the next update. |

Did some work on the savage orc boss, mostly just on his axe. I really like how it is coming out, though I am contemplating a reddish wash for the skull and staff.
Brog: Hope this shot helps mate. Yeah, some of my spear shafts were a bit on the over zealous side initially... hopefully they will be hard to notice when I get all 18 painted up. Hertz: Thanks mate. Killing rodents is not murder, it is generosity... |

That warboss, looks like a real killing machine. The rust on the axe is very nicely painted.

Savage Orc Boss. Hit his gums, teeth, some bones, and did that animal skin that surrounds his body. Anyone have a good complimenting idea for the furry parts?
![]() Ghazak: Thanks mate. I am thinking of making it look a bit more demonic... we'll see. |

Very cool stuff so far. I especially like the bone effect on the axe, but I think it needs something more. I think you should set the skull apart from the blades more. A few light glazes of another color like red or green might do it. Or you could try painting the eye and nose sockets in a color as if the skull is glowing internally in some kind of magical light. Also adding a very dark black/brown color to the area where the blades and the skull meet would help define those two pieces.
As for the fur on the boss I suggest something patterned as the boss would undoubtedly wear the pelt of an exotic beast. Maybe something like a tiger or a leopard using stripes and/or spots. Also a bit of dyed warpaint on the boar would look cool. |

And a bit more on the Savage Orc Boss conversion.
![]() ![]() Cannibalbob: Great ideas mate, how does it look now... I still am thinking that the glowing eyes is needed... did orange for the fur on the leader thanks to your tip, will probably add some stripes. Warlord Ghazak: Thanks for the idea mate, maybe in the same coloration as the tatoos for the savage orcs. |
