Hey all, im a relativly new hobbyist. Im 21 and have been painting and collecting for a year and a half, Shamefully too little time to have spent with orcs and goblins. Ive decided to create an army that will contain many different tribes. These tribes will then have there own colour scheme based on a different environment within the the world, so far I have painted schemes that follow the desert landsl, ice lands and rocky regions. Hope you enjoy the pics and i will update them as often as i can. Will really appreciate any feedback you can offer in order for me to imrove the models. Thanks all and i hope you enjoy them.

...nice painting and a fine skintone! I think the quality of the pictures don't do right to the painting.

What comes to my mind is that I notice some moldlines on the figures. I know it's much work, but then the figures even look better!

cheers,

Kees

Grimgor and the first NG s are good and well painted ( really liked the rust and battle weared effect you have used on Grimgors armor)
But Ice orcs and Rock goblins dont get right for me (though it might work for you)
I think orc`s and Goblins should be green and only green ( warpaint allowed!)
SO the Ice orcs just dont gripped my taste, but still a tasty army underway here and its certainly not your painting skills that should be discussed only a minor change in the coulor palette and I woudnt complain at all.
But overall great work and keep the pics comming! biggrin.gif

Very fine painting from what I can tell, but the pictures really don't do them justice.

It may not be the camera... try using the macro setting (this is usually represented by a little flower icon on the camera) from about 12" away. Also, ensure that you use a steady position, using a tripod or something similar is best. Then, if your camera has the function that allows it to take pictures after a certain time, use this as well, because even a minor movement while it is sitting on the tripod could still result in a slightly out of focus picture. Many newer cameras are able to compensate automatically for many of these things, but I own an older digital camera and (mostly) get pretty good results from it. Give these things a try and you may find that it was not your camera...

Good luck,
MK

I must say that one awsome idea you have there. Different greenskins for different elements. The quality of painting is very good aswell. I will keep my eye on this blog for sure.
