OK, I've only been playing O&G for anout a month now... so PLEASE take my suggestions with a grain of salt. (I have been playing warhammer for about 5 years though so I have some experiance under my belt)
First, if your not going to have fanatics in your NG unit I would suggest switching over to regular Goblins, and giving them bows and shields. I think they're slightly cheaper AND grant your unit a 5+ AS and a 6+ parry ward save which makes them infinately more durable than NG's. Great in a fight against swarms of Rats.
Also, Since your going to have a savage orc great shaman I dont see the need for 2 lvl 2 goblins shamans. I would suggest dropping one and using the points to pick up a Goblin Big Boss with the Magic sword that gives +1 STR and the Armor of fortune and either put him in the unit of goblins to give them a little something extra as well as bringing up their LD which is always a good thing.
Finally, since your fighting Skaven I would suggest dropping the Troll, and finding 15 more points to make your unit of 2 wolf chariots a unit of 3. (Or 3 chariots solo) Because going up against skaven 3D6+3 Str 5 hits will be armegeddon to any infantry, Doom wheels, or damn near anything else he'll throw at you in that game.
Plus it'll be alot of fun to see the look on his face when you tell him 3D6+3 impact hits just hit his infantry unit. :)
Anyway, I hope this helps some.

look out for giant rats...
he WILL walk into your manglers!

The one match I don't want to have manglers against is Skaven. Free points for opponent pretty much regardless of what steps on them.

with their strength in numbers rule (add rank bonus to ld) its both better and easier to gank their BSB over their general. this is because even their cheaper units will still get +3 ld... losing the reroll makes it more difficult for them to succeed break and panic tests.
take a terror causer to charge the unit of slaves that will be blocking his command bunker. if it runs it'll cause damage to units around, but open to you his bunker.
edit: easier, not easy to gank the bsb...

Relying on the good old LD10 reroll fail, eh?
rothgar13 - August 11, 2012 03:21 PM (GMT)
Well, the first thing to bear in mind when fighting Skaven is that if you disrupt their ranks, they lose the bonus (and Strength in Numbers' Ld bonus along with it). As such, objective #1 for me would be to disrupt ranks. Failing that, bring mincers, which is to say, units that can do a lot of damage to poorly armored infantry. Those will help thin the numbers such that you don't spend the entire game trying to chop through a rat unit.

Remember that hordes are usually worthless because there's very often nothing Skaven has that is worth fighting, it's usually a lot more important to break ranks.

it could happen.... :P
no it was just my reading of the errata where it said the general's SIN wasnt added to his inspiring presence... and didnt count the slaves ranks....

Not much to add tactics wise, but the very first thing you should deploy...
...a loaded mousetrap!

dispel skitterleap,
13th takes out an average of 14 models, sometimes its best to sacrifice those to stop the skitterleaping deathglobe/doom rocket.
read the errata, as they have funky rules on almost every unit.
use itchy nuisance to delay the skaven slaves in front of the command bunker, thats usually where his grey seer will be, and a lot of their big spells have short range, so limited the slaves movement will delay the bunker, or force him to move around it, giving you more a chance to get in there and belt the rat in the face.

well, when i left the tournament today he was still fighting the skaven player... (they fought on their last battle)... so, i dont know if curupira won.
