Title: Snot-troll
Description: Self-modelled.

Juanape - June 7, 2012 08:24 AM (GMT)
Well, due to the high prize of the common, stone trolls I have started a new project.
Modelling a Snot-troll!!!
It is another of my Night goblin Shaman experiments.
It is not yet finished, but this will give an idea of the project.

A promising start!

But I do feel a model this large deserves some extra attention to details.
Such as finger nails and toenails (although you could hide the feet when basing it).

Some trophies are always nice to add as well.

So I like the look but I'm hoping you take it a bit further.

I love it 'as is'. I thought the greenstuff beside its nose was snot when I first looked. (You put the expectation in my head.)

It is not finished yet, so I can add as many details as I can.
the fingers are prepared to put the nails on them, there is already a small notch carved on them.
the trophies will come later.
I am not going to use GW material as I am planning to make resin copies of him.
But not until I am fully satisfied with the results.
And with your ideas it will surely improve!! B)

The face is a bit too goblin/gnoblar like for my taste but besides that good job so far.

A cool start man. Glad to hear its a work in progress for potential resin copies.
I think the face could do with being a little less goblinesque.

+1 on the less gobbo/snot face but it dose look good If you do leave it adding some snotlings to his base would make it look great (just a x30 bigger snottroll)

Well the snotling face is deliberated. As I told before it is part of my army theme...
There is this night goblin shaman that is inmerse in some alchemist experiments with the orkish spores.
In this case he has been messing around with snotling spores and Mad Cap fungus ones. The result is the gigantic snotling or snot-troll.

This is why he has this face. B)

Looks good! What kind of material did you use to sculpt him? The only suggestion I could make is that if it is a putty of some kind, you might be able to define and smooth it in places by smoothing it out with some fine sandpaper.

Juanape - June 8, 2012 02:43 PM (GMT)
It is a two component putty (Epoxfer EX610+ E610).
So yes I will be able to pulish it with some fine sandpaper, thanks for the advice!
The green parts are GW greenstuff, and the core was done with milliput yellow grey.

I think he look ace. Just like a giant snotling. :D

My only other feedback is I like the green nose better. The red looks a bit weird.
