Title: Grom's Chariot
Description: Is it already paid for??
nuttyknatty - June 4, 2012 08:24 PM (GMT)
Just a quick one regarding the points cost for Grom and his chariot:
Does the cost of Grom include his chariot, or must I pay the extra points for a goblin wolf chariot too?
Many thanks

All inclusive buddy, but risky choice none the less!

Grom doesn't seem bad, but you don't want to lose your BSB to the first cannonball, with only a 5++ to save your green hide...

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't take him against the likes of Dwarves or The Empire. But against less warmachine-shooty races, like beastmen, chaos, high elves and the like, I think he'd do fine.

I would be hesitant there aswell, they have nasty magics! Grom is almost never good in my opinion, no matter how cool he is.

I run him behind my 3x2 unit of trolls and it has been very productive. He is alot harder to hit when there are 2 regen saves infront of him on none flaming cannon balls. He also is in the best spot to use his banner rerolls and LD bubble. As for cost hes not that bad when you add up a combat general, BsB and Bunker he would have been in.
