Title: Brand Spanking New
Description: Updated with Orc and Savage unit!

GazakahStoneWallop - March 25, 2012 07:35 PM (GMT)
Hey everybody,

I thought it was high time I put together a blog to document my growing Waaaghhh!

So far, it is pretty WIP; I'm still in the process of actually modelling my Orc units, who'll be the focus. Most of the actual painting I've done has been on the Skull Pass Night Goblins I've got. Anyways, pics!

First up, my Warboss, Gazakah.

This is G with his boyz Grunt and Fck.

Here's the NG bowmen, mostly finished besides some command group details.

First spearmen group, also close to done besides command group details and yellow shields (fckn hate painting yellow....)

And the second spearmen group, mostly WIP.

Let me know what you guys think! Any suggestions are appreciated!
Oh, PS the reason the bases aren't done is because I haven't settled on a theme yet.

The conversion are just great, I like them a lot! Those orcs are really badasses ;)
I like the clean painting on the gobbos ^^

Already commented on the bosses in their own thread, I really like them. ^^

And I think the nightgobbos are coming out nicely, maybe do something to make the cloaks pop a bit. I drybrush mine a dark grey (Adeptus Battlegrey) and wash them with Badab Black. (Wich I suppose is Nuln Oil now.) Something like that might make them look even better.

I really like the Warboss and his two accomplices...the use of 40k Nob bodies really makes them look the part. Looking forward to seeing them painted up!

Looks good! I'm actually making my first Hero with a 40k Nob. I like 'em.

One thing I would suggest is to remove the mold lines on your minis! I'm just going back to repaint a bunch of old stuff and I am regretting that I never removed the mold lines on mine. Yes, it's tedious and I hate it.....but I hate having them there now. Just get a rounded file (the GW ones are actually nice) and go to town. They show up on the hoods especially.

Oh, and maybe dry brush in some gray on the robes.

Hey everybody!

Been away from the hammer for a while, but I've recently got back into the swing of things. Just finished basing and priming both of my orc units, and I'm really excited to get painting!

I've been trying to improve on my miniature photography, let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions for improving it!

First up, the savages!

Here's a wide shot of them.

Next is my orc unit, where I've made every model unique. Really enjoyed converting these guys.

An attempt at a close-up of the unit champ.

It's a lot of fun to do a unit where every orc is different ^^ I reeeally want to see them painted ^^

Oh YEAHRRR!!! Those orcs are ace! :yarr!: :yarr!:

I especially like the regular boys. Man that unit is cool! You should buy some greenstuf and just add little bits of chainmail, helmets, plates. That would make the unit perfect as Big Uns! They already look great though!

The savages aren't bad either ;)

GazakahStoneWallop - July 19, 2012 07:22 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the savages are pretty much just what comes in the box, unfortunately. :)

I have never really used green stuff for anything other than filling gaps and holes - I was trying to get a bunch of armour plates and bits off the net, but was having a hard time finding them in-stock (the ones from the Nobz kit).

Anyone have any suggestions or guides for green stuffing armour bits?

Cheers
