Hey guys, just looking for some advice. I'm interested in setting up a Campaign for my club. I want to use the map of the Warhammer World and basically create a Territory campaign. Pick up where the Warhammer Story itself left off and let the players compete in the world and see how things change and affect the Kingdoms.
I was wondering if there are any current ideas to this type of system I would do some research on or find some more inspiration. If anyone knows and could share, I'd be very appreciative.
I want to take the map, divide the kingdoms into different size zones. Each zone would be a set amount of points which would determine what the minimum amount of points to compete for that zone would be. By defeating a player in a zone you are attacking, you not only get the zone under your control, but the points of the players army that you beat will be added to your personal "points currency" which, when you have enough, can be used to purchase things ( perhaps a strong hold in a particular zone which when that zone is competed for, the defender would have a tower or similar for their deployment zone). Working different ideas like that and more.
Well, why I have no experience myself (I am in the process of starting a campaign of my own, but a little less ambitious) but I would definitely recommend looking for the Generals Compendium. It contains so much campaigning info and ideas it is unbelievable. It is now out of print but you could possibly find a used copy somewhere...
