So my Twitter pinged with this news, and I've only just now picked up my jaw from the floor. Almost lost it there for a moment. I've played Uncharted Seas on and off since it came out, and liked the rule system, but mostly when I play I use Shroud Mages as a substitute for my Skaven fleet, as the Orc line of miniatures looked really weak. I mean this is an ok sculpt, but it's nothing really special, certainly not enough to make me want to collect them:



Then Spartan started digitally sculpting, and I watched a sucession of amazing Firestorm stuff, and the new Dystopian Wars models thinking, sheesh, wish they had done that type of sculpting with Uncharted Seas. Well, Spartan just announced they will be redoing the entire Uncharted Seas range, with digital sculpts. Look at the new Orc version of the same ship. Holy. Cow.

I can't wait. I'll be replacing/supplementing my orc fleet with the new models if they look this good in real life, as well as my Elf fleet. The picture on their website for the shroud mage flagship is better, but not enough of a change that I'll replace my fleet.

This is a great game, I strongly recommend it. And the orc fleet it lots of fun. It's great to get what is essentially a 2nd battleship that doesn't take up a battleship slot. The orcs are the only fleet with a battlecruise.
