Title: Red Handz Uv Gork
Description: Da Boyz (fantasy 40k and blood bowl.)

Santawraith - October 5, 2010 02:46 AM (GMT)
Hello this is my Red hand of gork tribe. Well at least the start of it. my fluff is some shamen had a vision of a bloody hand of gork. Which stated his tribe was the right hand of gork. Somewhere in the telling to the warboss it became the Bloody red hand of gork. So The tribe changed its name to the red hand of gork and went on a bloody rampage to slaughter all in there path. The emblem of the tribe is the Red hand Of Gork. Main coloring is Red, for blood is what they seek. So this is the fantasy version of the army. (the 40k version has more in deapth fluff being it was my original tribe.) (The blood bowl team has even weirded fluff because they are just fun).

Oooh, squiggies! Nice! By the way did you know the one in the middle is the old Gobbla, do you have the skarsnik model to go with it?

Wazoo

Santawraith - October 6, 2010 03:21 PM (GMT)
Aye I knew it was him. As for Skarsnik no unforetnly I do not have the older one of him. But I did order the new model. So the old gobbla became a very nice looking regular squig.

Thanks for the reply and info.

Wazoo - October 6, 2010 05:24 PM (GMT)
I have been thinking about getting the new Skarsnik too, I really like the newer version of Gobbla, he just seems terrifying! I am not quite as keen on the new skarsnik, but don't mind him either...

By the way, I forgot to say that I like the fact that you are going with multi coloured squigs!

Wazoo

Santawraith - October 6, 2010 05:27 PM (GMT)
Well according to the fluff they are so I decided to have what I am not calling skittle squigs all the colors of the rainbow.

Santawraith - October 7, 2010 01:40 PM (GMT)
Here is another we refer to him as our pet squig, or as my daughter calls him squishy. I really think she was trying to say squig. We found him in a lot we bought, no idea of the make but its not gw. That is a dreadnought base, he is sitting on. He was bare metal when we started on him.

Snikpik - October 7, 2010 09:59 PM (GMT)
Is that a horde of black Orc's? Grimgor would be proud!

Santawraith - October 7, 2010 10:53 PM (GMT)
He better be because he is leading the hoarde. That is his personal body guard in the end its gonna total 40 strong. Thanks for the compliment

Mysticaria - October 8, 2010 01:55 AM (GMT)
When the book came out before the new Skarsnik model...there were a number of homemade sculpts being sold on e-bay. This looks like one of those.

Nice paint job by the way. Very cool.

Wow! 30 Blackorcs in 2 days? :o

You are a sick man. Possibly Gork. :yarr!:

For the painting the only recommendations i have is to make the basecoats a bit lighter and Wash the colours down to shade with the GW Washes or similar. It really makes the colours "pop" and it looks a million times better without much effort. Devlan Mud for example works on almost anything, it's talent in a jar! Thraka green is awesome for orc skin. I bought the Wash set, and it's worth it. :)

Oh, and where are you at dude?

Santawraith - October 8, 2010 01:24 PM (GMT)
It was more like 5 days and it was only 19 including grimgor. The others have been done for a while. there is some pics we didnt do like all the check patterns and dags we did. I moved here in the middle of doing my black orcs The skin is done orkhide shade drybrushed snot green and washed with thrakka actaully. the armour is washed badab black. The Picture doesnt do them justice. Cant see all the special detail in them. Plus everyone gots to remember there is two of us painting them so is 10 orcs for one person that impressive over 5 days.

Oooh, i see! Bad photos. Do you use the Macro function? Then if you use photobucket you can crop and "autofix" the pics, makes a world of difference! :D

My wife edits the photos at times and we plan to take another and have her fix it. Im currently working on making her a light box. Better photos quality then. When she does photos they turn out alot better I was just doing a update.

Dude! That's a big garbage can! Sorry, that's what me and my sister used to call garguants when we were smaller... Lots of nice details on it too!

I love the effect on the guy under the warboss's weapon! I looks like he really quickly sprayed it with red paint, but only from one side! How did you do it?

Wazoo

Santawraith - October 10, 2010 01:30 AM (GMT)
What i do is base the weapon mechrite red, then drybrush it with blood red. Then I wash it with baal red wash. Last, I use chainmail to add the dents and dings that a proper ork weapon should have.

theorox - October 10, 2010 08:02 AM (GMT)
Nice Squigs! So will ach have a unique colou`r? Tat would be awesome! :)

Also, my compliments to Vannah. :D

Aye without her steady hand they would look very very basic. I only basecoat things and sometimes do skin tones. She is the true atrist.

And yes Each squig for the most part will be there own little color variation. Some will be kinda duplicated but sometimes that cant be helped.

I know you uploaded it a while ago but I really like that smurf night goblin idea(not that your other models aren't great either). I imagine that's what smurfs would look like if Tim Burton made a smurf movie :D

Santawraith - October 13, 2010 08:13 PM (GMT)
Hehe yes tim burton is one of my favorites too. And my daughters nightmare before christmas is one of her favorite movies all year long.

We plan a few regiments of night goblins in that style one of bowmen hand wepons and spears. and our course the gargemel giant. cant forget him.
