Title: Whee!
Description: Gobbo Waagh....

Chugga Wugga - July 25, 2009 06:11 PM (GMT)
Right,

So who all plays all Gobbo armies? And sees how hard it is to get an actual Waagh off? I prefer to call it a "WHEE", not a full fledged Orc bellowing event.

I can get one unit off for sure, the General's. I get only a 33% chance for ranked up Gobbo units, which drops to 50% for ones with heroes in there.

I think this is mainly for laughs, it's not that reliable. Stress release maybe?

WHEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Goblins definately have Waagh envy. I've never heard of Weeee before, but I like it.

Most of the time I play all goblin is in warbands or small points games, and then I'm really only using it if I want the general's unit to go. Everyone else tends to take more damage than it's worth so I don't call a WEEEEE that often.

What I don't like is that in a Goobo whole army they don't get the extra PD like orcs do and when a WAAAGH (or WHEE) is called they don't get that shame really

You can always get the extra one for a Big Boss in the unit if that help

I didn't even try this out in the last game,

Didn't even think about it. Animosity is going to happen either way whether Whee is called or not. A "one" is going to happen six turns out of six, when it happens is the time you really need to get the charge off and are just a bit out of range.

Of course, fear checks might mess things up on some charges. Too many of those armies are out here for our LD challenged gobbos to be truly effective.

You shiould try use an army lists like this : Skarsink and a bboss with bad moon on a stikk .
Then lots of nightgoblins and magic and shooty stuff.
And wolf riders and spider riders with no command and bows spears and shields on them all .
Then you win games , but its more fun playing even with your opponent thoe.
This army works like h*** but its not going to grant you many friends.
(at least with my own abilities to roll lots of 5`s and 6`s when i need)
(evry time!!!)
I have not lost on my fourth game with this army.
Normally use grimgor but he does better than evrybody against non high elf armies so he is not for much use in this topic.
:o and the waagh goes on! :)

I can't even count the number of times i killed 5/6 squig hoppers by calling the wee/waagh :(
not to mention wolf riders and spider riders,
that taking d6 wounds (no matter how small the odds) always happens to at least one unit when i call it, and mostly it's on an already small unit.

I have only whee'd in one game and that was a last ditch effort to contest table quarters. Worked okay for me because most of those support units where either gone or in combat.
