For the time being, I have only implemented this one my account (and Arfa's), but will soon be adding medals to a few other moderators who have already signed up.

Now, this isn't something for only Moderators. Far from it. This is something for the entire community :D

If you would like a reminder of what each medal represents, simply hover your mouse over it and you get a little description that shows up for you.

Unfortunately, we don't have any way of doing this automatically, so I'm going to have to ask everyone who should have any of the medals listed below to please sign up for them here! We already have the list of members who have won Member of the Month over the years, so I will be adding those automatically (well, manually, but you don't need to apply for those).

Once we've sorted out the backlog of awarding medals, in the future we will be awarding the medals as they are actually earned. So, if you win MotM in the future, you will automatically have it added to your profile. If you win a painting competition, you'll get that award too!

Unfortunately, there is a maximum limit of 7 medals (due to current constraints with the way the coding works), but we are more than happy for members who qualify for more than 6 medals to place them in their signature. :)

EDIT: We have now sorted it out so you can have up to 10 medals (in some special cases we will increase this amount)

PS: anyone REALLY nifty with coding who wants to help figure out how to increase the number of medals we can award in the profile, please PM me to discuss the matter ^_^

We also have a number of other special medals for winning the medal multiple times, plus a few custom medals for special occasions. And we will be working on more medals for the future. For example, you will notice in Arfa's account that his MotM Medal has a little extra bit, and his Nemesis Campaign medal is Golden. The MotM medal is in reference to a running in-joke we have in the Moderator forum when deciding on MotM, the Arfa "Should win it this month", but can't due to being a Moderator. And his golden Nemesis Campaign medal is due to him being in the Mob of Warlords for that campaign (ie one of the leaders for our players).

Soooo.......I can see that some of them are ones that you can say "Oh, that's me!". Others, though, I am not sure on the criteria for them. I would love to say that I could get a Contributes to the Tactics section medal, but is that something you get nominated for? I don't want to be accused of tooting my own horn.

With that being said, I was in the A3 campaign and would like one of those medals.

I would love the "contributes to tactics" section, but am not sure if I contribute enough to the hobby section.

I also think your "Blogga of da Month" medal is the coolest, of course. Maybe I should win it one time, just to have it!

Groznit you most certainly qualify for tactics. The idea was for people who have made a recognizable contribution to a certain section to be rewarded.

Looks like I qualify for storm of chaos and maybe the tactics contribution.

Exactly this. They are basically little shiny things for people who have either been around for a while, participated in campaigns on behalf of the site (A2, A3 etc), won awards (Member of the Month, Blogger of the Month), or just helped out in a meaningful way with questions and advice (Contribution badges). We will be adding more and if anyone has ideas feel free to shout them out here.

Wait a second....I think I did get ONE game in for the Nemesis Campaign in before I had to move. I was soooo ready for that online campaign. My local game store moved about 1/4 mile from my house! I had my army ready. Then I moved out of town right as it was happening. That ate up my summer. I did get ONE game in, though, and I did report it. Does that mean I get a medal?

Don't forget you showed up in the final bits of A2, as well. City-sacking and such, good times...

I followed the Marienburg campaign, but I couldn't get a game in during it. :unsure: I probably would have joined the Sigmarite Armies, though, with my Wissenland forces (that are only 1/2 built). That was an awesome campaign.

For the time being, also, I will be waiting until Monday before updating everyone else's list of medals. I'll be getting a revised list of the artwork sources for the medals then, and will be adding the code for the titles to them at the same time. This'll make it much easier and quicker for me to update the medals in the future.

So to cut down on the hassle for the time being, I'll wait until I get all the new code fully sorted out.

In the meantime, please keep adding your requests for medals here and I'll work through them all on Monday at get everyone's medals allocated then.

Well, i got MOTM in March 05, but as well is also got a Chewtor ov da Month for my Boar Boy. Maybe contribution to the hobby section as well. Not sure on what you are using as a deciding force there.

I was in both the SoC and Nemesis Crown campaigns. And I also won the "Oldest Git on the Path" award last year! :P

Well, having won the Chewtor of the Month, you certainly qualify for a Contribution to the Hobby forum medal too ^_^
